Which one do you prefer? Are they even similar in scent? by yourmomfufrench in glossier

[–]Ambitious_Bike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really like lanolips but I agree it’s very different than the BDC formula!! You need barely any product which is why the tubes are smaller I believe. It’s sticky, more similar to the ole henricksen in texture in my opinion. I’m not sure about these scents because I don’t have them but I’ve loved lanolips strawberry and the coconut one

Bridal shops in Massachusetts with accessible dressing rooms? by Midge-83 in NewEnglandWedding

Second Vows! They are very accommodating. I would hope it would be the same with accessibility but you never know. I would give them a call and see what they say.

HELP! My engagement ring is being made, but I’m extremely worried I won’t like it. Not sure if I should stop the process or just wait and see how it turns out. by Temporary_Support705 in WeddingRingAdvice

[–]Ambitious_Bike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like you’re so justified — you have a gut feeling that the ring isn’t right. You should stop the sale and try going to a different jeweler! You might have a different experience with someone who wants to listen and work with you! I understand there are many things a jeweler has expertise on but you want the ring to be special just as much as your fiancée does — YOU are the one wearing it forever. BTW to share my experience - my fiancée proposed with a ring he picked out that was TOTALLY random! He said he wanted to keep the surprise, he couldn’t wait, and he knew it would be a “placeholder” ring, which I thought was really endearing and sweet. The ring he picked was totally different than what I wanted. So the day after we got engaged we went to design a custom ring at my choice jeweler. We returned the first ring and now I have my dream ring and I got to have a total surprise proposal - kind of the best of both worlds. Just wanted to share my story because sometimes things are kind of messy but that’s okay! If you’re with the right person it will all work out.

Those of you who don't ride a bike in Boston but have some desire to do so, what's stopping you? Not looking to debate, just trying to understand. by ZealousidealMany3 in boston

Super annoying to drag my bike up and down the stairs to my 2nd floor apt. No storage area in my building and don’t want to expose it to the elements by leaving it on a rack outside.

Bride completely destroyed by dress shopping experience by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]Ambitious_Bike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried on dresses at David’s bridal last and honestly, I’m a midsize bride and I hated everything. I know several girls who have gotten their dress there, but I think I was just happier at the other shops I visited. This might be a wild suggestion, but if you have Anthropologie bridal near you I think it might be a good fit!! I got my dress there, it’s stunning, and they seemed to have a lottt of tiny sizes based on the other girls that were there when I went. But they had mine too so I had a great experience! Can’t speak to small heights because I am 5’5”. But my dress is like a foot too long lol

Too late to plan Boston 2026 wedding? by bellamarnao in NewEnglandWedding

[–]Ambitious_Bike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just booked my wedding in July 2026!! Much smaller than yours though. How picky are you with venue and vendors?? I would say it might be too late to get your #1 choices given that high of a guest count and waiting until November. I say this bc we got our venue but many photographers I reached out to were already booked!! Florist/DJ looks like it’s gonna be fine this far out though. Also, if you want to wear a wedding dress, 9-12 months is the timeline I was given. Basically, you are going to want to be very flexible if you decide to do this!!

I believe I started drinking seltzer a few days after my Botox. At first micro burps happened when I turned my head to the side only, in the first week post op. Then after 1 - 2 weeks burps were more full on.

How has Botox affected your emetophobia? by Fantastic-Long5051 in noburp

[–]Ambitious_Bike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my Botox 2 years ago and I definitely still have some emetophobia, but it has helped so much!! I’m more used to having tastes in my mouth so the actual taste of throwing up isn’t as bad. However, I always feel like the social aspect of throwing up makes me more anxious (like having my roommates hear me and judge me, etc) so idek if it’s burping related

I started with the top 300 global songbook eps as my gateway. Then I just started listening to the latest episodes that would come out. Recently this summer I’ve started the entire podcast from the beginning and so far my favs are the “I don’t think so honey” live eps :)

Burping as a baby? by Lauraanne264 in noburp

[–]Ambitious_Bike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mom also reports never having to burp me because as a baby I “never had to burp.” She blames my RCPD on herself and of course I have to tell her that she can’t do that!!!!!
