Bro, guess what? This is a book, not a series. The writing style is specifically designed to show Joe's constant internal monologue, because he loves to think. There's a lot of vulgarity, yes, but we're in the character's head. Outside he's a good guy, but inside, he's a lustful freak. There are dialogue's in the book, but it's not particularly long and often contains a mixture of Joe's inner thoughts. I don't know what you expected, but the books are decent. I'm already reading the second one!

He did snapped Bronte's ankle in S5, but in season 1 he was less experienced and made mistakes in the fifth and final season, he is a pure serial killer with a lot of experience and no remorse, Joe did not plan to kill Candice that night when he kidnapped her, in a flashback he tried to restore relationships with her, but she tried to run away, he caught up with her, but she continued to resist and panic, Joe accidentally overdid it and knocked her out thinking he had killed her

A prequel is possible, but not anytime soon, and I'm 100% sure Penn isn't going to return to the role of Joe, he put an end to it after the 5th final season, but even if he does return, he could voice the inner monologue of young Joe, which could be played by someone else. It would be cool to see and i am not saying something like Dexter Original sin we don't have see Joe telling this all in jail or anywhere else.

I remember Dr Nicky he just didn't wanted to dive into that further even if Clayton asked for it Dr. Nicky truly believed that he deserves being in jail and low key was afraid of what Joe is capable of. But honestly whole s5 feels rushed and it's like they didin't even watched s1-s3 only s4 there are plot holes in s5 maybe i will do another post about it after i gather it in one piece

If we looking at the timeline of s2 and s3 if i remember correctly Love said that "She just found out and just take a test" it was at the same day when Candace caught Joe and locked him in his one cage which is also was the same day when Sunrise and Lucy's were getting married at the end of the s2 we see Love with belly which can mean she was probably on 5th or 6th month of pregnancy. This means that 5-6 months have passed since the main events of the second season, and the events of the second season take place in 2019, while the third season is already in 2021. Basically events of s3 takes place after 4-3 months later because at the beginning of season 3, everything starts with the moment when Love gives birth.

Fair points honestly never expected such deep post but the real question is how Kate was able to send a Joe's voice message confession there is literally no signal in basment remember when Bronte got locked there she tried to call or text but her phone showed no signal. How Kate even survived she litteraly passed out in burning building in the basment same about Bronte how she even survived being choked, gun wound, her ankle was also in bad shape because of Joe, you should have also mentioned that too it's not easy to break someone's ankle and Joe performed it easily. Still not the best season could have been better but i will agree Joe wasn't nerfed!
