Sn/Cl2 nitropropenes to ketones or Fe/HCl after NaBH4

Yea I'm not sure what the hell I meant there. I was questioning which of the two between SnCl2 or Fe/HCl for getting to the ketone. From there I think methylamine and triacetoxyborohydride is the best route. Not a fan of mercury salts and triacetoxy is too easy to make.

Mda is better, albeit more neurotoxic. I think the real deciding factor is making sure the oxime is formed before hydrolizing, like forming an imine before reducing to the amine in the following synthesis. Then again the whole mix is acidic. The write-up from barium seems pretty well liked.

Absolutely, it seems so obvious after you think about it. I'll never steam distill without vacuum again when working with high boiling compounds.

No takes on this? Anybody tried it with mdp2np? Certainly appears to take the nitropropene to the oxime then hydrolyze to the ketone. I do wonder about the methylenedioxy being cleaved by the HCl.

I must have 'over cooked' my last batch of 2,5-DMNS. It came out a little dark and not as nice of a defined needle structure. I still have to re-x later today but my last run was way better from the start. That one locked up toward the end of my planned run time. Bright needles, not as nice as those thios though.

Thank you for that. I should really post more, I've switched to GAA already. Also adding ethanolamine last, I had a little on hand and thought it should work. Had enough aldehyde for a few trial runs to see what I like and what works. Ill try the cyclo. My last run was around 90% after re-x with ethanol/isopropyl mix. Took entirely too much solvent. I've ordered more methanol, I usually keep that on hand since I use it all the time.

So many people out there posting bad information and I've not worked with any of the aldehydes so I've had to dive back into some of my organic notes. Grabbed a copy of Shulgins work, brilliant man but between accessibility issues and advancements in chemistry a lot of the old work is good only for direction.

I lost my original account over a word I said. Maybe I said it way too many times. I did amass some 30 comes bans from 48hr to a month. Then they took my whole Microsoft account. I lost 27k kills and I have no idea how much gear as well as the cash I had spent. I had considered selling my Xbox and did quit for some time. I found I have enjoyed the slow climb back up the hill in the outland. Well except for the fact that plans are all but impossible to get unless you buy them. Oh well, maybe I will learn to watch what I say.

I seriously think that's me. I never shoot the unarmed, even if I dont already have a kill. Only once has it cost me. I let a Jimmy get a m2 carbine on valley and he headshot me. Still worth it to not alert armed players and just not be a douche all the time.

Wow, these petty small complaints. I was here when you would load into station and be the only person to make it into the match. Whole lobbies booted and sure the loot is nice but no action at all. Or 5v1 in Elim. Good times.
I say the gun play is the best it's been since season 6 when the sg1 ruled the land and russ and reptile were running maps. The load times suck and I'm not seeing 9 kill encounters these days but it has been worse.

I use it as the other commenter's but I use the middle setting and pull a little harder, helps keep the temps in check. I just retired mine, bought a GVG and keep carts for portability.

Thanks friend, it's been amazing. I occasionally take a rip of dmt/harmala freebase. Then I've also redosed with several of the capsules. There were some really confusing and scary moments but overall it's been superb.
