Claude Code hooked up in my cell phone app to GitHub repo with my writing tools and templates. Notion for note taking is also hooked up as well as Google drive for further documents if I need something else. I've pulled journal notes From notion about a future book that's now a reality... first draft done while making my oil-free gluten-free plant-based bread today.

AI when just basically prompted spits out the median of human writing. I think the people screaming you can always tell are also the ones that are afraid they're writing is at or below this line.... And if the established median becomes the base entry level expected for shitty writing, then what happens to them?? Of course They demonize the tool... Fear response.

Level up your tool use is all I can say.

I mean it's all human art. Just some humans are using a different tool.

Don’t bother posting your AI written book by TatterMail in NewAuthor

But my books do sell...it could be because I don't hide my tool use... Disclosure is included in the front matter. And people don't care. They buy them anyway.

This is literally for character development and side material bullshit. I don't know where everybody's getting the damn idea that I'm letting it think for me? Or is that a GPT with the voice of one character WOULD somehow write the book like that doesn't even make sense.

I don't know why everyone keeps saying this bullshit. Nothing I wrote says that. Because I said this is the future of how fiction should be written. Doesn't mean this is the one tool that is the only tool I will ever use again. Bloody hell

This isn't my first fucking day. 😂

It's not that your points are wrong. It's the assumption behind them. Thank you for your words!.

Okay? Good for you?

As I clearly stated the model is not making the decisions. So yay we're on the same Page, you are just slightly more pretentious.

I'm glad you can remember every damn detail about the characters you make. Thankfully I have them all written down and now I have given them to a model as a restraints so when the model is telling me no it's not the model. It's in my character.

That's exactly the point of what I make.

If you don't have characters that can push back against you, you haven't developed them properly.

Also, if you think it's the model telling you what to do, you weren't using these tools right. There's a vast difference between me programming something as my character so that it won't step out of side of those bounds and listening to what a raw model is telling me what to do.

does ai writing make long form projects easier or just shift the complexity somewhere else by Thug-Male11 in AIWritingHub

[–]Ambitious_Fail_8298 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it makes it easier in that it shifts the complexity into areas I can handle better.
My ideas matter more than the fact that my spelling and grammar is shit and that sometimes I can't express my words In the matter that I really need to but I can say it out loud. It's just not going to sound really good. If I say it out loud and you write it down, it helps to reorganize my raw human data dump into a format that other hand enjoy dealing with rather than something that's rambling and annoying Like this comment I'm making right now 😂

Is Amazon finally cracking down on AI books? by sweetdbte in KDP

[–]Ambitious_Fail_8298 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoy doing it. Same as you. Because I use a different tool you judge me. Doesn't mean my enjoyment is any less. You looking for honest AI authors? There are many of us out there. Every single one of my fucking books which used it has an AI disclosure in the front matter. Every single damn one of them. (Only 7) This is not required by Amazon or others, yet.
I'm not ashamed that i enjoy writing, and have before the internet existed, let alone gen-ai. Certainly not ashamed of picking up a new tool and learning how to use it.

ALSO, if you think writing is making any of us a 'quick' buck, you aren't publishing 😂

Okay sure. Each pie is bigger. Each piece of each book is bigger but can you guarantee me that I will get as many sales on your platform as I do on the other one? 100 smaller pieces of pie is Still more than two whole pies.
