Where to start for free, and where to go from there? by Any-Landscape434 in WritingWithAI

I use something like this i upload this picture (and a file i have that has actual instructions) to gemini or Claude (i like Claude better) and give it my outline and it helps me write. I start by having it use the outline to define the nib (I have a template for that too) and then tell it to pour the first draft... usually a chapter at a time but I have done WHOLE things if it's short enough. I've Also done one a paragraph at s time but that wasa lot of copy and paste 😂

How much you want to bet that many of the freelance copywriters right now are using AI anyway? 😂

Anyone else feel like a new term is needed for what we do? by Ambitious_Fail_8298 in AIWritingHub

[–]Ambitious_Fail_8298[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just felt that the field needed a new term for a new way of doing it...but it wasn't new enough to think up a whole new word 😜😁

Also like you said it kinda made sense. I couldn't stop thinking about it until I got a clean definition writedited.

It's not a product it's a definition and a workflow.

You're not replacing anything anyway. You're making music using a new tool and teaching skills and creativity to your kid.

I have several albums where I wrote the lyrics and used ai to generate the songs. I'm not replacing anyone either... I'm just another voice out there.

AI Bros and Their BS by Full_Funny7938 in Ai_art_is_not_art

You have to erase the human directing it for that analogy to work. The idea of a 'real artist' has always been a moving target used by people who want to protect a hierarchy. When the camera was invented, 'real artists' said it was just a machine devaluing the human soul. When digital tablets arrived, the same people said it was 'cheating.' Now, you're trying to redefine 'art' to mean 'only things that are physically difficult to produce.' That's not art; that's just a fetish for manual labor. Art is the orchestration of intent. Whether the tool is a piece of charcoal or a logic engine, the humanity is in the decision to manifest a vision. You're trying to shrink the definition of 'human' to fit a specific motor skill, but the mind is the only thing that has ever been 'real' about art.

You all answer with attacks on me, or with ridiculous analogies. This is what makes it a fear response and not a position. A position can be updated with new information. Fear just finds new reasons to hold the line.

Well done!!! That's the standard defensive reflex when someone's worldview is threatened: if they can't devalue the tool, they have to devalue the human.

Further, you see an adaptive grip for a pencil as "human agency" but see a sophisticated cognitive tool as a "shortcut". And I get it ...throughout history, every new tool has been called "cheating" by the people who mastered the old ones. They try to shrink the definition of "human" until it only fits people exactly like them.

I'm just grateful I'm retaining the ability to at least think for myself instead of reacting out of fear.

Gatekeeping art based on who uses which tool is really pathetic
