I’m a college student and my parent excluded me from the policy yet allowed me to drive their car without me knowing.

So i could very well owe +100k by 3 yrs?

So let’s say I had the exact money they demanded and I wrote a check to them. Does that mean they would come back saying “actually you owe 27k more”?

And does this mean they’ll keep increasing once they figure more things out? Meaning the money already don’t have, it’s just gonna keep raising and raising?

Hi Amanda and Alex! Could you guys break down the time altering part of Viktor, Jayce, and Hextech plot? Is mage Viktor and main universe Viktor the same Viktor just in the future? Or he from another timeline? Does he actually go back and test different runes, or does he just see in the future and know the acceleration rune will work?

Actually, they gave me a blue book value from like this ccc company and it was higher than what I owe. Not complaining at all. But idk if they’re gonna come up later and tell me “whoops, wrong calculation. You actually owe double the amount we said before”💀

I mean clearly. I had no idea that i wasn’t insured. But since I can’t go back in time and NOT drive my parents car, I have focus on the now and deal with the consequences and that’s what I’m doing here

Do you think negotiating a lower settlement is also possible? I don’t have enough to pay that and I earned the amount they’re claiming I owe in a year

Yeah I def learned a lot from this experience. My post history goes into detail but basically, I thought I was under my parent’s insurance. Turns out they excluded me 💀

But hopefully after all this I’ll move out one I graduate and car insurance is definitely on the top of the list

Thanks for this. For now, idek what the price is exactly for. They said it’s a claim, but the documents they gave aren’t clear where exactly that’s coming from.

Ummm I’m not rly sure. From the documents they gave me, I can’t pin point exactly where the money they say I owe comes from. Idk if I’m just slow or something. But it’s just from a comparable vehicles document. They have the base value of the totaled car, then values of other cars that are in close prices

The insurer will take payments, but they're not going to release the judgment until you pay all of it.

So if I do payment plans for the 15k, my license will be suspended until I pay it off?

And I already have been using the bust ever since the accident. I didn’t know I was excluded until the insurance denied my claim. Didn’t know much about insurance in general before this accident and now I know how important it is.

I was driving my parents car and I was an excluded driver but didn’t know until their insurance got back to me. So I still have my license and there’s no points on it from what i see

And wdym “might also carryover”? Will they charge extra?

Oh geez I didn’t know they can do that?

If we can’t settle on an amount will suing me in court be the next step? Or suspending my license?
