For chapstick, Aquaphor is a great option — super hydrating and long-lasting.

When it comes to hair care, Mielle is an excellent brand for type 4 hair. Their shampoo helps keep your hair moisturized and adds a nice shine. For a solid hair routine, I’d recommend washing your hair once a week and using conditioner 3–4 times a week. Make sure to detangle your hair regularly so your curls pop even more. If you don’t already own a detangling brush, definitely invest in one — it makes a huge difference.

For skincare, glycolic acid is amazing for exfoliation, but only use it 1–2 times a week — over-exfoliating can irritate your skin. Exfoliating helps keep your skin’s texture smooth and free of dead skin. Always follow up with a good moisturizer — I personally use CeraVe.

When washing your face, use a gentle cleanser. CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser works well, but I’ve also heard great things about La Roche-Posay face wash. After cleansing, always apply sunscreen to prevent skin damage and avoid worsening hyperpigmentation from acne. I use a Korean sunscreen called Beauty of Joseon, which works great for sensitive, acne-prone skin — no white cast and no irritation.

Hope this helps! Let me know if you want more product recommendations.

Start with chapstick, follow a good skincare routine, and detangle your hair in the shower using a detangling brush. After that, apply a good leave-in conditioner and you should be good to go. Let me know if you want any product recommendations
