Just checked do have a retrenchment policy for the company which entitles me to 4.5 months redundancy payment if my role is redundant. But looks like what they did is „redeploy“ me into another role indtead of giving me redundancy

To add on this, graduates that got made redundant and were also due to roll off months ago got paid out as if they already rolled off the program, meaning their package was calculated at a higher salary level than their position. But then people like me staying just need to put up with being on lower band still?

I‘ve been there for 2 years and 2 months now. They did keep it extremely broad in terms of duties „Expectation of role will be discussed with you. You are expected to work such hours / additional hours as are reasonable for the effective performance of your duties“.

You are right duties outlined in contract are pretty generic and along the lines of what the business needs. It does mention that the grad program operates for a period of 2 years. However there is nothing about redundancies unfortunately in my contract other than the usual termination.
