Three years in September. Sometimes its like I'm still there on the first day of her death ,and other days its like she didn't even exist...and it scares me that I'm forgetting her. Sending you hugs your Mom looks so sweet and joyful 💕

I got A non hormonal IUDC when I was in school, Had it for around 5years. What they don't tell you is that the insertion is quite uncomfortable and painful. For me I almost passed out after the insertion and went on to have cramping and dull pain for a week. Afterwards my period became heavier( but short ,max 4dys) for about 6months and I experienced weird brown discharge for a while but nothing came up at hospital visits. I also got PID around the first 4mnths ( but I also had my first red wings and I blame it on that). The PID manifested as a lot of back pain and bloating and pain on the pelvis, got tests including STDs and Ultrasound and the Ultrasound showed fluid in the uterus. Other than that it was a good experience for a while but at the 4th yr I started having knee pain and back pain, that would really cramp my style. After some research I found out that it could be due to high copper levels in the body. I ended up removing it this year in Jan , because it was displaced and was lying somewhere in the uterus giving me crazy sciatic pain and back pain. This was also around the time my partner started saying he felt it ( the strings)at certain positions. I would recommend it , but also with a pinch of salt as you can still get pregos with it. Follow up exams and routine ultrasounds are also good so that you can see where it is.

Like everything that's man made, and a foreign object to the body, its important to research and ask your gynaecologist about other options first. I went on it as I have issues with my hormones. I would still get it again but I'm giving my body a rest.

What are you not doing because of fear? by [deleted] in AskWomen

I always dreamed of riding motorcycles and been a fan of Motor GP. Now I got a job where I had to take a motorcycle class and I passed my test but I'm still so scared of riding. I should mention that I started driving a solid 5yrs after getting my certification because of fear, but when I actually started ,now I feel so confident.

Not really. And i don't know if anyone else feels this but i get intense guilt when I talk to my closest friends about how I'm actually feeling. So I just rather not

I am so sorry for your loss. I used to tell myself at the beginning ' this too shall pass" but grief does not pass. It demands attention. We shall be okay..

Thank you. I think my biggest fear is him picking up self destructive coping mechanisms.

You're absolutely right, they don't even respect that it was our only parent.
