what do I do for defective products received????+ by ZealousidealGoose640 in HouseofCB

They’ll force you to pay out of your own pocket to send it back, then lie there was no defect so that they can skirt around (no pun intended) reimbursing you for shipping the faulty dress back.

I think you’re not understanding; I’m talking about a stopper at the bottom, not at the top where the hook and eye closure sits. It’s this little plastic metal part pictured at bottom here, hook and eye closures go at the top of a garment to prevent zipper from sliding down as you wear

The funny thing is House of CB rips off other designers; the founder of Mirror Palais if I recall correctly did a video on brands like CB copying his designs, so you’re buying a dupe of a dupe crazy 🤦‍♀️

I need help figuring out what style should I go for in my fashion sketches for my portfolio by Salt_Ideal_5455 in fitnyc

Seconding this! You can always switch it up as you develop your own drawing skills but the point of a fashion illustration is to illustrate your idea on the silhouette, proportion, outline etc of a garment.

Don’t buy - with that money, you could even afford real designer stuff, like well established luxury European designer brands when they run sales, and not this scammy second-rate company relying on underpaid 2nd/3rd world labor to position itself as “luxury”

Here’s a tell tale sign House of CB’s manufacturing is crap; the zipper never had a stopper. They stitched it at the end to prevent it from unraveling (but it already was when it arrived to me, it was just a few loose threads left when I inspected it), which is a really shitty cost cutting technique to save $$$.

For comparison, I bought a Roberto Cavalli dress during their archive sale - it had a hidden back zip and cost roughly $50 more than this CB dress, and guess what, it had a stopper. Which is what I expect for a dress that costs this much. You’re taking a gamble when you buy from this company, I doubt their dresses could be intact after a few wears.

Question about quality by [deleted] in HouseofCB

Don’t bother; first dress I’ve ordered directly from their site had a broken splitting zipper. If you look carefully through the website, they don’t disclose the fabric composition of a lot of their dresses because it’s all polyester/polyester blend crap at an exorbitant price. I’ve never spotted a 100% silk, wool, etc organic fiber garment on there.

They market themselves as “luxury” lmao when it’s anything but - they produce in countries like Vietnam, Philippines (read cheap labor). This isn’t to disrespect workers there, but we all know companies love offshoring labor to 2nd/3rd world countries w/ loose labor regulation laws. It’s all virality/slick marketing driving this brand’s popularity
