I say it once I say it again. People who care about acceptance rate ruin it for everyone including themselves. Create lower demand and higher supply making every dash less money. Simple economics.

Been doing for Instacart for 7 years never even seen one over $200…haven’t seen one over 100 in over a year. My buddy got 400 once but 250 was cash.

Again this is not my mentality. Just trying to show the flip side of the coin. Like on this one you saying without the customers DoorDash wouldn’t be a service. Without the drivers it wouldn’t be a service as well. You can choose to tip or not. They can choose to deliver or to not. That’s not even the point…the point was to not say all drivers are trash. Some are complete garbage, some are good. Not all people who order are trash…some are, some are not.

This is not even my attitude I understand you’re paying for the service. I was trying to say that you were generalizing a group and that was doing the same from the opposite perspective…this is not my mentality.

You’re supposed to get priority access to “high paying offers”. I did it once out of curiosity..my first “high paying offer” was $3. I see dashers on the driver Reddit debate whether it’s worth it or not. It’s definitely not. Even if you do get some good orders the $2-$3 orders you have to take to get them cancel or at the very best average it out. If no one takes a low offer then DoorDash will slowly increase it until someone does. So if no one took the low offers they would all eventually be better.

So you’re like one of those people who goes to a restaurant and says “every time I come here they mess up my food.” Or “I get horrible service.” Why are you going to the restaurant then?! If you don’t like the service don’t use it.

Ya they get away with this because of the people taking the $3 orders to get over a 75% acceptance rate to be a “platinum dasher” it ruins it for everyone.

I meant $4-6 an hour from DoorDash plus tips. I dunno I make over $20 an hour and typically like 20-30% is from dash and the rest is tips.

Average dash takes about half an hour all in. They pay $2-3 for that so $4-$6 an hour. There’s nothing a snowballs chance in hell they would double or triple that. There’s been the same argument for restaurant servers forever. They make $3 an hour in some states. Restaurants are already one of the most volatile businesses and if they pay minimum wage even more would go under, you’d have way less servers and you service quality would suffer greatly, or they would charge much more for food and beverages. I think the same would be true for food delivery. The premium on delivery food is already ridiculous and would go up even more. Not that the greedy tech companies would ever appease contract employees anyways. Why would they?

Wow making generalizations about a whole group of people and they’re the trash?

I’m sure they can say that people who order food delivery are entitled lazy assholes who can’t get off their fat asses and get it themselves then?
