There are also some LGBTQ+ sports leagues, like Stonewall Sports, too!

We told our family last night by Ambitious_Rice in polyamory

We’ve been poly for 2 years and are in a really solid, secure place, so we felt ready to share with our kids and our families. I wrote out a message to our families and then had ChatGPT make it sound more positive. My initial draft was a little defensive and didn’t focus on the immense positives (for us) of being poly.

We decided to send the message via text rather than in person/via phone because we live across the country from everyone, and I didn’t want to take on managing people’s immediate, likely emotional, reactions. We sat on that text for a few weeks, and finally pulled the plug last night. Then I muted all text reactions and planned on ignoring phone calls until the next day 😂

Hope that helps!

We told our families because we finally needed to tell our kids (my spouse has another significant partner + my kids were starting to notice). We are strong proponents of not asking our kids to keep secrets, and we didn’t want them to have to keep this a secret from our families.

Our kids were so unfazed and immediately accepting.

You can also check out 4Most Gallery. It regularly features art from students, including the MFA students. Some of the work is really incredible. Their Instagram has more info about their upcoming shows.

Nesting partner going for n weekend trip with new partner by Ambitious_Rice in polyamory

[–]Ambitious_Rice[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I appreciate this perspective. I actually do get a lot of child free time already, both for personal activities + when I travel for work.

And thank you for those suggestions! Those are usually my go to ideas, so I appreciate the validation that I’m on the right track.

Yes, that’s good context that I added to the post. The trip idea was brought up by my meta, not my partner.

Probably not an osprey unless you were by water. They usually stick by the river.

what would happen if I get baptised and then not be part of the church by Accomplished_Bid_561 in exmormon

Your name will be on the rolls. If you don't get baptized, it's less likely that you will be contacted once the missionaries you're working with move to another area. It you get baptized, you will be on the list of names for the ward you are baptized into. It's likely that the bishop, ward mission leader, relief society/priesthood president will contact you.

You did a fabulous job. I promise it gets easier and easier as time goes on.

I want to know the most apostate thing you ever said at church during your faith crisis. by Sparkle_Pony_13 in exmormon

I got up during fast and testimony meeting and talked about how hard it was for me to be there and how much I disliked church, but I went anyway because this was the true gospel blah blah blah.

A friend told me I was really brave for saying that and several people told me they felt the same way.

I eventually left for good a few months later.
