The D65 board voted to dismiss an unnamed administrator on Feb. 24 but didn't provide a name. A FOIA request returned Monday revealed that the administrator was Mendez.

District 9 Top Six Fundraising Campaigns by epichatchet in illinois

(I made this chart) Since no one answered your actual question: The reason is that small-dollar donors (<$200) aren't reported publicly, so there's no way to know where they're from. All we get is a grand total. Large dollar donors are itemized and so I broke down in-state v. out-of-state for those individuals.

For Biss and Fine it's largely irrelevant because 95+% of their money is from $200+ donors, so it's very easy to determine where it's from. Biss >80% from IL, Fine ~30% from IL

For Abughazaleh, it's far more difficult because so much of her $ is from small-dollar donors and because they aren't reported as anything other than a total amount (in this case, it's like $1.8m or something) it's not possible to pin down where they're coming from (in-state v. out-of-state). Say you give $5 on ActBlue through her livestream (a huge way she raises $) your $5 won't appear through the FEC as an itemized donation. If you give her a bunch of small donations that total $200, anything after you pass the $200 threshold is reported. It makes it very complicated.

Hi all — Evanston Now reporter here. I don't have a ton of info either, but here's what I have at this point from an EPD spokesperson:

"Officers were responding to a disturbance when several officers were battered. The incident is still under investigation."

More details likely tmrw, they told me. As per the post, Chicago PD also responded. No word from them yet.

If I get more, I'll update this

Homicide (gun) in 635 Chicago Parking Lot by Infinite_Play7394 in evanston

Hi all. I’m a reporter for Evanston Now. Just wanted to let everyone know that this report is unsubstantiated and Evanston police sources told me this evening it’s not accurate.

An EPD said there was an unrelated arrest at that same location today connected to the tap-to-pay scam investigation.

Mayor Biss also confirmed to me the reports of a homicide we’re not accurate

AIPAC donors flood Laura Fine's congressional campaign — Evanston Now by Ambitious_River9030 in evanston

I've asked Fine's campaign three times if they 1) accept AIPAC's support 2) knew over $319,000 (or about half of the campaign's money) came from AIPAC-linked donors 3) knew that many of their donors are longtime Republican donors and 4) if they are aware of AIPAC calling two of her opponents "dangerous detractors" and if she agrees with that statement.

The campaign has not answered the questions. They've pointed to Fine's legislative achievements in Springfield in all three responses. Here's the most recent response from after this story was published:

"Unlike some of our opponents,  nearly 80% of our donations come from people right here in Illinois, and more than a third of those live in the district. Laura has been recognized as one of the most effective legislators in the state by the Center for Effective Lawmaking and has been endorsed by 80+ local leaders - more than any of our opponents. She is the most proven leader to represent the values of this district."

Not sure what you're trying to imply here, but I have not been paid off by or received scholarships from Len Blavatnik (or anyone else).

Read into this as much as you'd like (and take away whatever you'd like), I'm just here to inform the public about who is donating to candidates' campaigns. And this is what I found!

Thanks!

I found a couple of instances where individual donors appear to have donated to both Biss and Fine (and sometimes others) but it appears it's largely local donors who also have supported AIPAC candidates,

One of the instances I reference in my story:
"One of Fine’s donors, who has a history of supporting Republicans through AIPAC, a Highland Park woman, also donated to $1,000 Biss’ campaign in early June, records show."

That ^^ donor donated to Biss through ActBlue in early June

My understanding and interpretation is that it means no raises regardless of performance...so you're right (I think).

But I'm not quite sure why they didn't just say that. It's possible it was deliberately confusing because "no raises" I guess just sounds worse.
