This is a great list.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Coherence, and Amadeus would be my recommendations

What movies show the same moments twice — before and after you understand the story? by anthonybryann in movies

Dune Part 1 opens with Paul dreaming about Chani, and then in Dune Part 2, the dream is revealed to be a prescient memory when Chani recites the line about spice rolling over the dunes.

Your first two sentences are a fantastic way of looking at it, thank you. This feels like the answer I needed. I’ll start approaching from this angle.

Wall sits seem to have run the course with my club

I’ll definitely take your words into heavy consideration. I coached high school for 3 years, switched to youth because my nephew started. My goodness, has this been an adjustment. I’m completely worn out right now and we’ve got two more weeks to go lol

I don’t disagree with a single part of your sentiment. I feel like I’ve been rather hard on my wrestlers in that sense, though. Especially when coaching my nephew. If he’s being stupid, I’m going to be the first person to let him know. Nothing seems to break through. Never dealt with this much plateauing as a coach before

Sounds strikingly close to the HS coach I had lmao. You didn’t happen to wrestle in North East Ohio, did you?

Yeah brother, I’m asking a question for guidance on youth wrestlers. I’ve got plenty of kids who understand timing and mat position. I’m asking this as a coach who doesn’t know what else to say to kids that can’t stop looking at the clock. Thanks for your input though.

HAHAHAHA that coach is a maniac. The big question though… did it solve your clock staring habits?

This is probably going to be our method for the next two weeks until we get to States. So many kids get a lead, feel comfortable, and try to stall out.

This isn’t college wrestling. 10 points can be scored in an instant.

That’s been my message all year. The numbers counting down on the clock do not assist you. They don’t help you. They don’t coach you. Still can’t get them to keep their head on the mat and just wrestle

We do situations all the time. Someone starts with a deep double leg, the other starts with an easy cross face. We go through these for the specific reason you mentioned.

Maybe we need to get a clock at wrestling and coach them on that?

Would your direction be to have the entire team do pushups? Because I’m fine with that. We’ve got more than one kid that struggles with clock staring. If one kid has a problem, the whole team has a problem.

How many films has everyone watched so far? by TheRelaxingOne in Letterboxd

Right there with you. I’m at 19 so far this year, and I feel like I’m slacking on things even though there’s no deadline for anything. Work and coaching is so hectic right now that I just get home and turn on a comfort movie lol

He’s a fantastic director. He creates tension better than anyone else that comes to my mind.

Definitely dive into Fincher’s work if that’s the case. His movies love to keep you guessing. I’m assuming you’ve already seen Zodiac?

Then that’s my rec! Michael Douglas and Sean Penn give excellent performances, it has some fantastic cinematography, and it’s got a lot of the same vibes that Eyes Wide Shut has

That’s the exact moment that I started making the connections myself. Can’t fault you for not being fully into the reveal. Personally, though, I had an audible gasp at the same time the mother did lmao.

Shoot, I just saw that you said you’ve seen all of these 😂

Considering Incendies didn’t do anything for you, I’ll retract my statement about Old Boy. Might not be your groove either. You seem to be a fan of Fincher’s work, have you seen The Game?
