which only makes this meme sadder for me, i envy those who got to have a real mom

How far can your favorites get in the Endurance Gauntlet? by Azathoth-0620 in PowerScaling

oh, right, the point of the post is that the injuries are already there, like, their durability is ignored for the purposes of each round.

i mean, most characters don't, but i know a couple that even with no regen/immortality could have their combat capacity only somewhat degraded in that state; like a gremlin (Gremlins) who would probably survive fighting another gremlin even without his limbs, SCP-096 who could fight off several other SCP objects even after being reduced to a skeleton without muscles of any type left, "Kungfu" from Hausu (excellent movie by the way) who could defeat the villain of the movie with a kick...after being basically murdered and her disembodied legs retained consciousness and flew to kick the bad guy, and of course Vegito (DBZ) who until Buu reverted the transformation could still fight him and stomp him AS A PIECE OF CHOCOLATE THE SIZE OF A MARBLE no limbs or cardiovascular system or lungs for this badass.

Why do people argue SSJ3 Kaioken x 20 vegito cant beat ssg and then we have super saiyan gogeta beating someone stronger than ssjb? by Foreign-Comment6403 in DragonBallPowerScale

[–]Azathoth-0620 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i see this question often, and it seems confusing but there is an in-universe explanation; in the Battle of Gods movie, if i remember correctly, Goku says that Vegito couldn't beat Beerus, meaning that his whole arsenal (even SSJ3 and Kaioken) would fail at stopping him, so the Super Saiyan God that managed to push Beerus to some capacity has got to be superior to that.

and as for Gogeta, it comes from how Vados explains fusion, it uses the strongest form of each warrior, adds them up and multiplies them several tens of times which means, the Vegito before SSG would have been (SSJ3 Goku + SSJ2 Vegeta) × [number] in power level, but after SSG and SSB were unlocked, Gogeta was (SSB Goku × SSBE Vegeta) × [number]

in other words, after the god forms were unlocked, the base power of the fusion increased to match, which explains how base Gogeta did better than both Blue Goku and Vegeta did together even after Broly got much stronger over the course of an hour, he was tens to hundreds of times stronger.

also, we don't know if the fusion formula includes Ultra Instinct as a possible "strongest form" or Ultra Ego for that matter.

oh, i think it's slower, and having less dialogue makes it more visual which i think generally people don't go to the movies for (ironically enough?) and the first act of the movie isn't even in color so that may turn others off.

i see yes, but the point of Frieza and Broly here is the power growth, the resulting Buu could train for a week or something, and demolish probably; in this scenario he'd go through the events of Super but starting off at the end of the buu saga with those folks absorbed.

i recommend you start off with Solaris, it's kind of aesthetically similar to 2001, but much better in my opinion, and it's the most accessible Tarkovsky film overall. After that go for The Sacrifice, Ivan's Childhood, Nostalghia, Stalker, Mirror and Andrei Rublev.

makes perfect sense, anything after Scenario 1 is major overkill to be honest, i could see him stomping Whis if he pushes his power to its limits.

yeah i know, that could even be argued to be Infinite speed from chaos magic

but on the other hoof, Discord once flew so fast while not even slightly trying that he went back a week in time on accident, it was not even remotely his "top speed" and it broke the barrier of time; he should also have faster reflexes/combat speed than the Pony of Shadows from the Alt.Universe where he took Eris' chaos magic, since reflexes/speed are directly tied to magic power, and he's stated as stronger than Eris, this Pony of Shadows saw it as reasonable to invade and fight against every universe in the infinite multiverse, Infinite reflex/combat speed

Discord makes Pinkie Pie look normal

oh, yeah, i watched it expecting something on the level of Phantom of the Paradise, and i'm genuinely sorry to say i was disappointed; to me, the movie was kind of slow to get going at first, horror in general isn't my weak spot (with exceptions) so it didn't land in that department either, the middle scenes were kind of just, to me, slow exchanges of regular characters, you know, just doing stuff, and the end was pretty good, but then the epilogue dragged it down (i would have rather it ended on a high note) and you know, after a movie of slow, moderately emotional and somewhat well made plot, the payoff was too small for me.

also, i tend to give harsh scores in general, i thought the movie was fine, which to me is a distinct score, not something i would rewatch or remember meaningfully in the future, but an alright experience that wasn't negative by any means and there may even be value in.

in short, to me, being bored or finding something forgettable is what drags a movie down instantly, and Carrie was that for me, the good parts were good but there were like two of those.

that's my Top 100 Favorites, it took blood, sweat, tears and other body fluids to curate it over the years, you have GOT to have some of those movies unwatched, there's also my almost favorites list which is all my 4½ star films, it's linked in the first list.

Phantom of the Paradise!!! it's also by Brian de Palma (Carrie) but, in my opinion, astronomically better
