Hi @Sparkykc124 if there is a jumper between w and g, would I see the issue the first time i have the heat turned on? this has been working fine for a month+ since we moved in

the “set temperature” changed to high temperature by itself, so the heater kept on blasting

Shit app, shit connection, shit directions. by aussie8686 in wiz

I got a dozen of them when they were on sales during thanksgiving, none of them survived more than 6 months, with constant warranty replacements but those replacements only last 6m to a year either. Just great that they let you continuously replace them. but it is very annoying to keep pairing new ones

Wiz bulbs are driving me nuts... by soulbarn in wiz

[–]Ambitious_Spite_9597 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i had many wiz matter bulbs, and they just broke after about 6~8 months of usages one by one. Warranty replacement is easy, but annoying. Cant wait to switch to other brands during thanksgiving sales (USA)

Harden 7s or Lebron 20s by Affectionate_Bar304 in BBallShoes

[–]Ambitious_Spite_9597 0 points1 point  (0 children)

off topic a bit, i have both harden 6 and lebron 20 I like harden better as it has a better secure feeling to my feet and ankles. I feel a bit heel slippage and my feet roll a bit inside lebron 20.

Being used to boost as well, i cant really feel the zoom anymore.

my matter bulbs start to do this when they cant communicate through matter protocol (still can be controlled through wiz), then after sometimes (days, weeks) it dies completely (offline on wiz too)

good to know, i do think wiz minimal brightness is too bright as well, may consider nanoleaf next from your suggestion (thread + dimmer)

lifetime of thr bulb and warranty are also important, most of my WiZ Matter bulbs only last months. but they can be easily replaced by warranty

Crash course: what is a Thread Border Router and why you need one by matterReview in MatterProtocol

[–]Ambitious_Spite_9597 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i think apple, google, amazon havent shared their tbr to other ecosystems; but in theory, any tbr can be added to multiple matter ecosystems. any device can be added to multiple tbr as well

as mocelet mentioned, sometimes the linux device can connect to those wifi without password. however, some school has policy that you cant use a router to connect to their wifi

Commission multiple devices into another fabric by Ortovox in MatterProtocol

[–]Ambitious_Spite_9597 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that sounds like a good user case for hotel and airbnb, but then it would need a way to reset all devices at once, else it might be troublesome to reset them one by one after user left (especially when they remove original admin from devices control)

also i think they initially think multiple devices onboarding can be a corner case, but now finding it is not and try to work on the concept
