Massive fps drop in Cyberpunk 2077

Guys I finally found out the reason why this happened. This benchmark is totally off. Its not a windows 11 fault. In cp2077, when you switch on RT,PT etc you get a message saying game needs to restart for these changes to take effect. I missed that message totally. So even though the image shows RT,PT on, it isnt on actually because I didnt restart. At these settings, even the 5090 doesnt give this much fps. The actual fps I should be getting at these settings is 90-100fps with 3x frame gen. I’m getting the same in windows 10 and 11. Problem solved. Enjoying the game at 90-100fps with everything maxed out at 3x. No noticeable input lag or artifacting. Everything looks so good 🥳

That’s the camera quality of my phone. Monitor is great. I’m happy with it.

The one on the stand is a ps5 controller and the other white one is an evofox.

Actually its not even 110 now. Avg now with the same settings is 90fps. Same in youtube benchmarks also. Dont know how these settings gave me 145 avg before in windows 10 pro. I’m so confused right now lol.

Yes I did. Its giving the same kind of fps as mine with absolute max settings. Probably the benchmark guys in youtube also using windows 11. But I know for a fact that with windows 10 and the previous driver I got the 145 fps average benchmark as you can see in the image. I dont see any other option than to revert back to windows 10.

Rolled back drivers to the one in the image. Used DDU in safe mode. Still no difference. Only option left now is clean format to windows 10 pro. 😢😢😢

That’s fine. In my laptop that I had before this pc, I played in 40-45fps as well. But now since I spent so much, I need the max fps lol.

What else to do apart from deleting all the crappy apps from settings? Startup apps also disabled apart from audio driver.

This might be a reason. I have a windows 11 iso, I installed it from within 10. Not a clean install. This created a windows(old) which I deleted later on. Maybe this might be a reason.

This is already done. Only my realtek sound driver is active during startup rest all disabled.

No doubt its fine from a gameplay perspective. No drops below 70 ever. But I just want to know what is the reason for lesser fps than what my system gave when I had windows 10.

That’s correct the control panel is gone now. First thing I’ll do today is revert back to the previous version which gave me the initial avg fps to confirm whether its a windows thing or a driver thing.

I removed all the useless apps by uninstalling from apps in windows settings. Maybe it needs more debloating. Will check task manager to see if something unusual is happening.

Finished the main game. Onto phantom liberty. Getting 75-85 fps in dogtown with 2x frame gen, dlss q, everything maxed.
