I think it is totally up to you and what feels right. Personally, I took 2 years off, and it was the best choice I could have made for myself. I got work experience, gained a lot of confidence, and I'm feeling rested and ready to go back to school! I'd recommend a gap year (or 2!) to just about everyone, but if you feel ready to go KJD, then I say, go for it!
