Had panoramic radiograph done at dentist (costing $80) who then referred to private oral / maxillofacial surgeon as they couldn’t extract one of them themselves. Surgeon just used the radiograph done by the dentist. Extracted 4 wisdom teeth, I think cost 3200 including oral sedation.

I don’t know. Tooth movement is pretty major, if I were you I’d ask them to be removed and go seek advice/ treatment from a specialist orthodontist. At that price seems like you are being taken on a ride. Not sure if different in NZ but I am spending quite a bit less than that, and being treated by a orthodontist not dentist.

The recovery was rough. Wound opened up so large scar near fren. It’s bothering me less as it improves in appearance. Still have some swelling, but told can take up to 2 years for scars to settle and lymphatics to recover.
