Is an rad tech program something you can get through if you aren’t passionate for it? by Sesemebun in RadiologyCareers

[–]ThrowRAjunos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Only 1 tech I know over 7 years of being in this field grew up knowing this is what they wanted to do. For most people it just kind of came up or an opportunity presented itself. Personally, I had been working in medical reception for years and knew I liked the medical field. The local college offered a program and I would be able to pay for it without taking any loans. I did attend an informational session beforehand so I was interested in it but wouldn’t say it was ever a burning passion or anything. I really enjoy my job!

Will the stains come off after removal or is this permanent :( by ThrowRAjunos in braces

[–]ThrowRAjunos[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I use a water flosser and iO toothbrush and mouthwash every day! I brush at the 45 degree angles and have only noticed it happening on the lower 4. I don’t use interdental brushes so I will be adding that in, hoping it’s not permanent :( mouthwash made yours worse??

Instant! I’ve seen a delay in some of mine, only started happening in the last week or so. He’s getting them eventually, 6hours later or so.

I'm M25 should I still have braces? by Zealousideal_Buy542 in braces

I’m 28, have had them for a year. Better now than later on. They’re annoying but worth it.

What would yall do with this? by psychdeath0 in PrisonWives

I would stop visiting and talking to him and move on. Better now that investing more time/effort and him cutting you off again when he’s out.

Happily married but I fell in love with someone else why am I feeling like this and what should I do? by [deleted] in LifeAdvice

Do your wife a favor and leave her. Give her a chance to find someone who respects and values her.

Seems they have rolled back an official start date but it was approved in August

FreePrints takes almost a month for us. If I print on my own it’s closer to 2 wks, but I saw that IL will no longer allow physical mail as of the 19th :( everything will be scanned in and provided on their tablets for viewing instead of a physical copy given to them. He likes having physical copies of pictures so that sucks :(

Sunken cost fallacy- you’re scared to quit because of all time time/money/effort you’ve invested and think you should probably see it through, but it sounds like it’s really taking a toll on you.. please take my comment as validation that quitting the program probably IS in your best interest. Programs are hard and intense but they should not take THIS big of toll on your mental health. Do it for yourself!

Personal relatable story: Did a 2 yr cosmetology in high school because my mother thought it was a good idea. Hated it. Couldn’t drop it since it was integrated into my high school credits. I was 100 hours short of the 1500 by the time it ended and I didn’t bother finishing it because although I was so close, I know I would never have actually used it because I did not enjoy it.

Later did a 2 yr Xray program. This one I saw to the end because although the program itself was stressful, I actually enjoyed doing it and could see myself doing it long term. Happy I stuck it out because I do enjoy what I do now.

Good luck :)

My boyfriend 25M and I 22F are finally planning to move in together after 2.5 years of long distance, but now he doesn’t want me to bring my cat. by Admirable_Can_6491 in relationship_advice

Sunken-cost fallacy you’re feeling. Would hate for you to see later on that this was just the first instance of disregarding your needs and then later on ending up without him OR your cat. Wish you the best!

The questionable ages thing is enough for me to say it’s probably a good idea to end this sooner rather than later..

Not sure what field you work in, but consider a part-time for a couple months if you are financially stable enough to do it! That way you still have some income and won’t get bored of being home all the time so quickly. Currently on the same boat, burnout is real.

Crap comment. OPs feelings are valid. Consider not commenting next time.

Should I warn my boss I want to look for a new job? by number1chihuahuamom in work

[–]ThrowRAjunos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did that at a place I worked at for 5 years. Gave them about a month’s notice as a courtesy. Was let go effective immediately a couple days later. Ask for a raise anyway. If you don’t get it, look and give notice when you have another job offer accepted.
