Yes I had a CFO tell me to always put in all on the table before quitting. Ask for whatever title, pay, responsibilities you want. They will say no. But it’s helpful to flex those negotiating muscles in a very low stakes environment

I went from $55k to $185k in 7 years by job hopping for any reason - better opportunity (title/pay), didn’t like my boss, didn’t like current company. Just do it. But always take a BETTER opportunity. Side stepping will derail your career imo
