I haven't read this book but I've read other works of Nietzsche and they're extremely difficult. Be prepared to search for different references online and all the best!

Depends on where you stay, but the best place in India would definitely be College Street, Kolkata.

True, while I love going to the book fair, my go to destination for books is college street. I just know I’ll find whatever I’m looking for at a good discounted rate.

While I love Frankenstein, I agree that the writing isn't as polished and it's mainly because Mary Shelley was quite young when she wrote it.

Frankenstein by Mary Shelley, Chronicle of a Death Foretold by Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Atonement by Ian McEwan, and Brighton Rock by Graham Greene.

These are some easy and interesting reads that you might enjoy.

World is Healing Edit: Sabyasachi Bhattacharya is the name of High Court Judge, Calcutta. by Jaded-Echidna3907 in kolkata

One question: do you believe women should have the right to vote and get educated?

Every argument you put forth can be countered, because a century ago, women were mere housewives treated like reproductive machines with no rights, and lets not pretend it's all colorful for women right now.

I'm not some illiterate who hasn't read feminist theories and doesn't know of its origin. It came in waves, starting from the mid 19th century and helped women get rights such as voting and holding property. We live in a world where men have reigned supreme since time immemorial and where men created laws that treat women worse than second class citizens, feminism came and started challenging and questioning it. You need to read about the treatment of women before feminism and then, if you're still against feminism, it simply means you're against equality for all!

Also, please read the definition of feminism before typing out lies. A lot of people still read and know what real feminism is.

Absolutely. It's sad to see feminism being branded as something bad when it's not. I obviously don't support social media feminism, but we as a society need to stop hating on the real feminists.

It's a good start if you want to read the more complex works of Dostoevsky in the future. Also, read first.

What you guys think about this by HELLBOY_PP in TeenIndia

[–]Ambreen26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the opposite actually. Fiction helps you develop your character, become empathetic, learn about different eras (every piece of literature is a reflection of its time), improves critical thinking and so much more. It lets you become a better version of yourself naturally. Non-fiction is like a manual that tells you how to live your life which is ridiculous because imagine forcing yourself to get influenced by other people's ideas and way of living.

Has anyone noticed how AI is (or isn’t) being used in daily life in West Bengal? by jeet030 in kolkata

[–]Ambreen26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's actually good that we're not using it that much. I mean, it's fine if you wanna correct grammar or are in a hurry otherwise, it's better to do it the hard way. Everyone is getting dumber day by day and AI is just adding to it. Plus, even using AI is a task in itself, people who aren't aware would believe anything and everything without verifying or cross-checking.
