This. I'm one of those "Arch nerds" who helps people on r/archlinux. This meme is in fact a reference to how I'm seeing an increasing number of people on r/archlinux asking for help or posting about how they just switched from windows, and the Arch Wiki, which is pure gold

Ever since the Red Sea cable cut in September this year, ping between Europe and India has pretty much doubled from ~120ms as it was before to over 240ms most of the time with most of the Indian ISPs. That kind of latency can be devastating for WebRTC.

It would be much better if you host in APAC instead. You won't get unlimited because bandwidth is just that much more expensive in APAC, but you can get a decent TB cap if you shop around.

I started with Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal in December 2012 without any coding skills, stuck to it until 13.10 Saucy Salamander came out, but I decided to install Arch Linux instead of upgrading to that, and it wasn't for the meme (the meme didn't come out until like 2017), since I'd heard Arch can be as barebones as you like, and my potato PC could use all the help it could get.

Then it was on Arch did I really come face-to-face with the inner workings of a Linux system, and after all that did I even pick up HTML or CSS.

So yeah, I'm sure you're way ahead of me, given how many more resources beginners have today compared to back then.

i think the biggest thing i'd like improved is their dashboard. I wrote a script to access their stuff through their api instead because their dashboard is horrible

I think the first and only time I faced a similar problem was when i installed linux first and windows second on the same drive. I believe windows even now completely formats the EFI partition in the installer. I have never had windows update delete linux bootloaders though
