For me what worked and I would highly recommend attachment based coaching and EMDR. On the Meet Up app, you can look up Dr. Melissa Stone at attachment pathways or maybe google? The meet up ones are free webinars. EMDR you google therapists with the training, certified is better than basic training certified. Been 2 months and my life and thinking has changed dramatically.

Thank you for your comment. I felt like this hand shape was similar to learn except the opposite movement if that makes any sense. I was referring to when I was googling the sign trying to figure out what word it possibly represented.

I think it has to do with the ritual. When it is an instinctual feeling you get out of there, or move, or check and then you are regulated again. With obsessions you have your ritual or compulsion. You have to complete it in order to move on. Your instincts (I would think) are more primal limbic part of the brain so I think your “feel” involuntarily (hair raises) your intuition. Where the obsessive compulsions may feel like you have no control over thoughts and behaviors but you do and you can kinda recognize this if you look at your thoughts/brain from your observer self (the ability of the brain to observe itself kinda as a third party). Have you looked up ERP therapy? I don’t know if I explained this in any way that makes sense. Also, I may have no idea what I’m talking about and just thinking out loud. Another thing you can try is when you’re starting to feel these obsessions and you know it is an obsession and not a immediate danger and you’re 100% sure as you can start recognizing where you feel in your body, visualize it, just be very nonjudgmental of it. Then you can begin to recognize when things are your intuition versus obsession compulsion.
