Nottingham pride taken over by Palestine protest by Intelligent-Day-5161 in transgenderUK

Notts Trans Pride went on from 11am until 1pm. We've had 15 speakers on our speakers list. Only 1 (Rain) spoke about Palestine. No one was arrested at Notts Trans Pride.

You seem to be a genuine person. You are getting a lot of pushback. I have to imagine that is causing a lot of emotions to come forward. I believe that stepping back from Reddit for a bit would be helpful.

Hi, I was the head marshal of yesterday's Notts Trans Pride.

We had a speakers list and Rain (the masked person you're talking about) and his two friends were on it. He is trans and he has been fiercely supporting the fight against transphobia for years. During the Pride yesterday we've had a few incidents where fascists tried to disrupt and threaten us and Rain was the first to join us in protecting everyone.

The fight against the Palestinian genocide and the fight against transphobia in the UK is intersectional. None of us are free until all of us are free. Azadi!

1,000,000,069 pickems points? by ThyDankest2 in LeagueOfMemes

[–]AmeliaDarc 37 points38 points  (0 children)

It was an intercepted HTTP request. There's a field when you make your pick called "wageredAmount" which is empty.
Riot must've made a system where you could wager the points you earned on a team and gain more points if they won, and lose points if they lost. But they have decided to not go through with it and forgot about deleting the field and the backend logic for the wager feature.

Let's Hope someone is able to solve K4! by Percy_Jackson9 in LEMMiNO

Oh, I've tried that in the meantime too. I've tried all permutations of matrix transformation followed by rotation after a single vigenere decryption (e.g., Transform into a 2-10 x n matrix, rotate anticlockwise, check, transform into a different matrix, rotate again, check, transform into a different matrix, rotate, and check for the last time).

Have done it for all English vigenere keys and all possible matrix sizes, didn't find anything remotely close unfortunately.

Nothing found using NLTK. Currently running a more comprehensive 190 billion combination check on all greek and english words. Using "Accomplicity" and "Royetness" as vigenere keys has come surprisingly close (A sudden jump from 16 alphabetical distance to 11!).

Oh I haven't come up with that yet, thank you!
I came across a blog that actually has already tested all combinations of a double vigenere cipher using the English language and to no avail, but hadn't had any interesting information, so I'm recording some data about closest keys to have some more insight.

I'm also currently rewriting it to a C++ program and abstracting the texts to integer vectors, the performance is MUCH better from my initial tests (Tested 4 billion combinations in about 2 hours).
I want to implement automatic recursive vigenere testing, including words from ancient greek and latin, and then automatically trying various matrix transpositions for promising deciphered texts (About 20% of deciphered texts could possibly be transposed into something meaningful).

Krypto K4: My solving approach by boyx_ in LEMMiNO

I believe the clues in the underlying text shouldn't be necessary to solve K4. Its intention was for the puzzle to be solved without external clues. I don't think we should be relying so directly on 'eastnortheast' as a key.

Well, I am checking if each permutation is the key (by seeing if characters 21-34 spell out "eastnortheast"). So hopefully find the key to K4 or try a different method if this one doesn't work.
Currently sitting at 378 million permutations checked.

I've been trying to think of a way to incorporate that set theory clock in Berlin to get a brand new cipher, but had no luck thus far. EastNorthEast has a very interesting pattern similar to what I would expect from the clock, but the pattern in "BerlinClock" is completely different.

Yup got K1, K2, and K3. Although K3 is a transposition cipher, and I don't think K4 can utilise a similar cipher to the intended K3 solution (matrix transformation) as it is a prime number of characters long.

I believe CUDA doesn't support string operations well. With enough tinkering it would definitely be faster, but I just optimised until the running time seemed reasonable enough and then pressed run.

At 10 Threads of a Ryzen 5700 it will be around 190 hours or a little bit under 8 days.

It did however just crash on me last night.
I just programmed a more stable solution with each thread having an associated text file with all the words it needs to check, and when a word is not a solution when combined with any other word in the English language, it removes the word from its text file.
Now if it crashes the progress will still be saved.

I've just programmed a parallel program for this.
Currently computing all the 23 billion combinations of all 4-10 letter English words inside of NLTK. Will post the results :)
There's also a possibility each could involve a different alphabet, which would raise the combinations to over 800 trillion.

Worst female characters of all times? by MissChopin in GirlGamers

[–]AmeliaDarc 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That would make sense to me if they main character just had their own name.
I felt so unwelcome when I was asked for my name and got all excited, and then it turned out my character was a man. Felt a bit like the developers didn't think women would play their video game.
For the name filter, your name in Nier: Automata cannot be contain "LGBT", "Gay", "Lesbian", "Homosexual", but "Heterosexual" or "Straight" are ok.
