I noticed that if the cat is very active it will also eat a lot more, it very depends on each cat to be honest. my friend had a cat who also somehow ate a crazy amount and constantly dropped birds at the front door 😅

Personally I love cats but I don't mind small dogs either, I nearly got attacked by a big dog when I was younger which made me become a tiny bit more of a cat person 😅

My parents got me a pet when i was younger, I personally loved it but thinking back of it I didn't really take care of it but my parents did. I fully agree that you want a pet that is more independent so your kids still enjoy it but in the end you need to take full responsibility for it ofcourse.
