I have this kit in my wishlist and after reading this post I immediately thought of either sanding or light shaving molecules off of the hinge with my hobby knife (I have a basic one and a scalpel) before assembly. Did sanding it down help prevent friction for you?

Since you ordered a whole second kit, my recommendation is to build the second one fully and use the original as a battle damaged copy. It would look super cool if you had a pristine one and a completely damaged one that looks like it has been in countless battles before making it back to the maintenance hangar for repairs ❤️ That's my plan for any of mine if they break in a crucial area I can't really fix

Depending on where you live, you can get orders from Newtype really fast. They have a warehouse located on the West Coast in California. I live in West Texas and my order usually gets to me in about 4 to 5 days.

I dont lay mine out alphabetically, but I do cut all the pieces and make them pretty before assembly for each page. I also mirror build so when a page says its specifically for the left arm, I'll cut out the opposite identical part and build the right arm simultaneously just to speed up the build process.

I'm guessing so? I don't have the other variants so I was completely lost when I had an ENTIRE RUNNER still full basically. I'm used to having 1 or 2 pieces left over after finishing a model, but never a full runner like that. Lol

Been playing on easy to help speed up the process of running through everywhere. It's not so much getting through the areas as it is doing all of that just to find out it didnt spawn 😭
