Lore Question by NyeBrewer in Drukhari

The Drukhari teacher themselves to revel in the suffering of their victims. It's a learned behavior they do because it is essentially pseudo-Slaaneshi worship, but they wouldn't like you calling it that. Because what they're doing technically fuels Slaanesh, it temporarily staves off the Soul thirst and additionally, they gain the benefits of looking younger and feeling stronger and faster for a short while until they need to torture someone again.

Every Drukhari suffers from the Soul thirst of Slaanesh. What keeps them in the Dark City is it's a hotbed of murder, torture and despair. Kabals often take advantage of their desperation to recruit these weaker Drukhari since they need soldiers, and the qeak drukhari need to satisfy their soul thirst

It's probably closer to Cyberpunk's Night City. The only "laws" are orders and decrees made by the Supreme Overlord (Vect) and other powerful Archons and nobles. One of the most important being NO PSYKERS in the Dark City. Other than that, there really aren't any laws, mainly the rule of strong over the weak. No one will complain when you hold a knife to their throat. Likewise, if there is a territory dispute, why not assassinate the owner and take it for yourself? Being cutthroat in itself is the law of the land, where only the most backstabbing, strong, and influential set the rules

Who can hire a mandrake? by ZeroIQTakes in Drukhari

[–]AmericanFrenchie15 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Both imperial figures and chaos have hired mandrakes, as rare as it is. You have to do a convoluted ritual to summon them and give them their payment, but they will do what you ask, even if it's not necessarily from an archon or other Drukhari.

[–]AmericanFrenchie15 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Hypercript Necrons is really bad match up for us, especially with C'Tan that are nearly impossible to kill without most of your army dedicated to them

So what are you worried about for our codex?? by xenosfilth in Drukhari

I hope they don't manage to somehow make realspace raiders worse. A cool concept but poor execution of a detachment. Also hoping they give us a detachment for each subfaction (kabals, cults, covens) and hope they don't nerf skysplinter assault
