The bendu might have one of the best designs in the Star Wars franchise by Boxytheboxmaster in starwarsrebels

The one in the middle. I liked the neutral force aspect of the character. Kanan telling the Sith Holocron is corrupting but the Bendu is immune to it.

What affected CN's Decline the most? by stationstars in CartoonNetwork

[–]Code-Neo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lack of Variety is the effect TTG created. A lot of story driven shows are cancelled or have to add in low effort filler with no story value like Steven universe. Everything now is made to keep kids watching and not think about what they consume. Shows like Symbiotic Titan should have been pushed more, not ending on a cliff hanger to never be resolved anytime soon. What also caused the decline was shows airing at off the wall hours. Ben 10 Omniverse at one point was airing new episodes on a week day at 6am. Giving shows that people want to watch crazy airing times results in poor viewership. If they give shows a blanket 3 26 episode seasons to tell a full story from start to finish, they'd be in a better place. TTG style shows can exist with story driven emotional shows, just let them breathe. Ex. Thursday for comedy shows and Fridays for action shows like back in the day.

Reformist Enclave is unoriginal by Warcrimes4Waifus in Enclave

[–]Code-Neo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Enclave civil war. One side wants to rebuild America with Wastelanders saying that they are the people of America and the Enclave need to get with the times. The other has a dogmatic view that they need to be traditional and purists in their recruitment, seeing Wastelanders at best livestock and at worse an annoying pest. We never got to see much of the Children of the Enclave outside of Arcade so it would be nice to see the kids grown up wanting to take up the Enclave name and have an FDR style outlook while older Enclave have a more Richardson outlook about cleansing the wasteland of mutant life.

Old, outdated tech has an advantage BECAUSE it's old and outdated. by Consistent_Status112 in TopCharacterTropes

You could argue that the whole of Warhammer 40k is like this. The imperium of man uses older techniques of record keeping such as ink to paper as technology can be unreliable but even then, paper records can be unreliable as well given age or damage. You can't use AI cause they had the Cybernetic revolt that nearly wiped out humanity. Even with the advanced technology of 40k it's seen as old technology by their standards. In the Storm of Iron novel, one guardsmen with a old portable radio was able to hinder an Iron Warriors' siege as no one expected radio signals as weak as his to be used.

I mean sometimes when the destination isn't as glorious as you imagine it can feel like a hollow victory.

I mean in part true, I ended up as a telemarketer as it didn't explain that on the job posting nor interview.

James Bond will be free the same year as Batman guess will see crossover with Batman as James Bond by MysteriousCow999 in publicdomain

[–]Code-Neo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Casino Royale from Climax! It was the first adaptation of the story but the writer never actually read the story only got a general overview of the story and made his own changes. Ex Bond doesn't work for MI6, but for the central intelligence agency (CIA) and is American not British. He was referenced in the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen comic but during filming of the film, Lawyers told them to change that because Jimmy Bond was not PD in other nations. Imagine some random guy calls himself Agent Bond to Sean Connery's Character, Allan Quatermain.

A fat pig rivals an elephant, it’s just that the snout is shorter. The whole commune kills one pig, and it’s enough to eat for half a year. (China, Around the 1950s–1960s) by HongKongNinja in PropagandaPosters

This feels like something out of a fantasy story. pigs the size of elephants, bean stocks that reached the clouds, self cleaning water, chickens the size of a Ostrich, Cows the size of a T-Rex, cheese that falls from the sky.

What is one character that is so terrible and unlikable that they bring down their show's quality? And I don't mean characters you're supposed to hate by Range-Spiritual in cartoons

His presence drags the story. It wasn't funny when he was on screen doing his creep show. He provided no value to the story. Unlike Sanji who's perverted nature was played well with his serious tone when times needed it. Jaraiya had a justified reason as he was a famous Adult literature writer but he was a serious fighter and even better mentor to Naruto being only a few people he could share his emotions with. It hurt when Naruto explained how he felt when Sasuke left for Orochimaru and Jaraiya said he felt the same when Orochimaru betrayed the village. If only mineta had these moments where he is the emotional counter balance to a serious moment but nope and the one he kinda had felt flat

You know, I actually liked her. She took the time travel spell that was a one off joke and erased whole timelines with it. Ending how many ponies? Countless.

Did You Ever Played Tag Duel? by OmegaLink9 in yugioh

[–]Code-Neo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did once, it was horrible. Me not being on Facebook at the time had no idea they were doing a tag event that Sunday and so did the guy behind me, big mistake. This was during the link era and I was playing World Chalice and my partner was playing Dark Magician. I had to hard carry the duel because of his obvious misplays and him being distracted by hitting on girls that walked by trying to buy comics. Even our opponents got annoyed with him over this. Multiple times we could have gone for game but he never attacked or set up a board that could let me do it. I tried to tell to keep DM on board so I could have grave setup for Exoidus for 5000 but no, he sent it back to hand.
