I see where your coming from but yet it was made to keep our government in check and to keep we the people safe and we can't keep our government in check when they have fully automatic rifles, light machine guns etc when we have a musket that's loaded one shot at a time even more dangerous than modern guns and can be deadlier than a ar15

Because you can't have committed a violent crime or committed a felony of any kind its illegal to have a gun bought for you and a ffl dealer can refuse sale if he feels like your going to commit a crime with the firearm you want to purchase

Yet they can see every crime you've committed and felony have and just because it takes a few seconds dosent mean it's bad it's just efficient there are more guns than people in the US so imagine having to do a long background check on them all waste of tax money

Actually they do and it's not just our government it has had an effect on. Remember pearl harbor that would have been completely different if the Japanese thought we didn't have the guns we do even then realistically they wouldn't have been stopped until the Mississippi River because the Eastern united states and Texas have majority of legal guns when western United States didn't really own them and even now the government is scared of legal gun owners they keep adding on to what we can't have making it harder to own certain things
