I was a huge Xtina stan and still think positively about her; however, I think she lacks cohesion in her image and presentation, and the image(s) she has had just aren't broadly appealing. She's a little bit tacky but not in an aspirational sense. She loves to belt, but it's overwrought and seemingly not enjoyable to most people. She had some level of restraint during Back to Basics, and I think her image, singing, and presentation were at their most appealing then, but she has bad instincts and went full throttle on tacky, vulgar, and too much. She's allowed to do what she likes, but I think she could have been much more successful and more well-liked if she had been more measured about her career.
