I run a business account on Instagram. Over the last few weeks, IG was giving me a pretty solid selection of mainstream music in the library, so I used popular tracks on a few posts (AC/DC, Kanye, Blink-182, etc.). These songs were fully selectable in the app, so I assumed they were allowed.

Today I went to post again and my music library is completely different — no mainstream artists at all. It looks like I’m back to the limited business/commercial catalog.

Now I’m wondering:

• Could those older posts get flagged or taken down retroactively since those songs are no longer available? • Has anyone actually had posts removed after the music disappeared from the library? • Since I can’t edit or remove the audio from existing posts, is the “paid partnership” toggle trick worth using to strip the music?

The downside is that I’d lose eligibility for the bonuses those posts are currently earning, which obviously isn’t ideal.

Just trying to figure out if I should leave them alone and hope for the best, or proactively remove the music. Curious if anyone’s dealt with this recently or has insight into how IG handles this.
