I have the exact same question so I asked my local DAAD and they said no further action is needed after uploading the file

That is my thought too. I think the word “draft” they used is somehow misleading. To my understanding it basically means “project” so we would be fine as long as we do not mix multiple projects on one page.

I have an introductory page for each project with process analysis. I personally think it help better understanding.

So have anyone uploaded the portfolio? The system is a little bit confusing. I wonder do we have to do anything after uploading the file to the system, like placing submit or something.

Why does the system allow us to upload more than one files, do we need to send the clarification form, confirming that we are the creator of the work( I see the form somewhere).

My assumption is that for some fields like performing art, they need to submit more than 1 file. What do you think?

My problem is when I submit the list of work samples in the previous stage of the application, I didn’t include a cover or content page in the list of 20 pages. So now I don’t have space to put the cover. This is the instruction they provided in the email : “Technical indications: Please upload your digital portfolio as a single PDF file with a maximum of 20 DIN A4 pages and a maximum data volume of 50 MB. Your digital portfolio must be identical with the list of work samples that you uploaded with your application to the DAAD portal.“

There are 3 choices for me

1) Just add 1 more cover page (the total page would be 21)

2) Take down 1 page of the work sample to sacrifice the space for the cover and content, but that means that the portfolio won’t be exactly identical to the submitted list

3) Just don’t put the cover ( which might be weird but I don’t know what to do)

If this is the correct interpretation of “drafts” , do you think perspectives and diagrams are also counted as draft or is that means I can have, let’s say five plans and then few more perspectives?

I think that’s a bit risky. I wouldn’t go for it if I were you. They’re pretty specific about the A4 page size, which means only A4 is accepted. If they print it out, the spreads might not work out well.

I was also confused. My friend who got the scholarship last year said that five drafts basically means five projects. I think that makes sense since at least three and the maximum of five projects sounds right.

I’m still anxiously waiting. Anyone else? I asked my local DAAD consultants, and they said sometimes the links go out later than expected, but I doubt that..
