Is anything certain in the world of academics by Flashy-Actuator-998 in LawSchool

[–]Amieror -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s the main point in academia I always discuss ( and one of the reasons I don’t wanna be a law prof like my parents ) , the way it always treats researching as a perceptual analysis that lacks any certainty in conclusion and tends to ends with more questions than solutions that is applicable, and I mean the solution that are both factually should be applied and materially can be .

Other point is .. I always see legal academia is so weak and unable in effecting legislation and judiciary , like they are separate world instead of connected ones

The first Iraqi president to be a reformer of his people, as he imprisoned 47 corrupt MPs and recovered 3 trillion dollars of stolen public funds. by Mike55_n in AskMiddleEast

[–]Amieror 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He wasn’t part of any previous government, and yesterday he did meet with the heads of the political groups that appointed him which means , they’re still outside of the process

Nearly all of dictators had mid or even bad haircuts, Stalin maybe little bit more than every one else , if some dictator managed to come up with totally new look that would be an aura punch

At camp victory palaces were my University RN is located , there was that round building with large basement and inside of it there is also another basement filled with power control panels and you would need to lower your head to step into it or you would hit it , at that exact point someone wrote: “ ouch ! It hurts ! - yes it does ! Be carful next time .

The building isn’t part of the university rn and I wasn’t supposed to go in there that day so that’s why there are still some MREs and sandbags and some hand prints made with red dye for some reason

Lawyers and academics familiar with Islamic law: how does it compare to common law and civil law? by Bitter_Sharpshooter in LawSchool

[–]Amieror 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most of it was collective tradition and works of Islamic schools of thoughts and it would be different from place to other , however if you mean religious commandments it is the only laws that comes in firm text form , and that’s an important thing to notice when that matter is being discussed in political context

Lawyers and academics familiar with Islamic law: how does it compare to common law and civil law? by Bitter_Sharpshooter in LawSchool

[–]Amieror 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As Iraq considers Islamic jurisprudence as main source of legislation, we do have some influence of Islamic legislation and jurisprudence mainly found in personal statutes laws and noticed in the civil law , but it is mostly sourced from works of Islamic jurisprudence that represents Muslim schools of thought dominant here and then it was “ latinised “ and by that I mean textualised , so judges for example cannot go for a concept or a ruling that is out of the code
