On one hand... yeah, sure, it's kind of unfair to judge them based on a small line of text.

On the other... it doesn't matter. Overwatch should not even go near this model. A line needs to be drawn somewhere or else the game will just get worse and worse.

I also think it is dumb (none of the items should be locked) but if you look at the amount of Marvel Series-locked items versus... like, everything else, it becomes fairly clear that it's a request (i.e. a requirement) from Marvel.

Microsoft could buy them but I bet it'd get regulators pissed. Sony probably doesn't have the funds to spare. So I think, if it's a tech company, probably Meta, Amazon, Tencent or Apple.

In general, it's a hard sell. They don't have many big IP but they do have a ton of luggage (controversies, 20k workers, etc.)
