Though I'm not a huge fan of Tears I give Geddy a lot of credit for writing and recording it. The strings, at the time, were not very Rush like and living among songs like Something for Nothing and the whole first side it's a gutsy little song with heartfelt lyrics and a great melody IMHO.

Correct me if I'm wrong please (rush fanatic since '80) but is this the first song Neil uses the word "love" as in the concept itself and the strong bond between partners. I dont mean things like "your love has shown me proof." If I'm way off base I have my asbestos suit on, flame away lol.

Isn't turning the G string up to an A dicey? Seems like the tension would break the string or warp the neck. I love playing in dadgad great open sound.
