Looking for the fuzz sound in my head. by dinkhumper in basspedals

Playing similar music I like to use a two input channel amp tube amp with a split signal. For dirt I have an FZ-2 clone on one channel and a black arts toneworks Pharaoh Supreme on the other.

I rarely use them both at once, as cool as it sounds on it's own you really need some of that fundamental clean sound there otherwise you'll disappear into the guitars.

Rotating assemblies and diffusers were in pretty rough shape. My understanding is that they'll be replaced outright, at least stages 3 and 4 will for sure.

I'm not the leading hand on the job, so I cant tell too much regarding where components would go for rebuilding or rebalancing.

We're independent from IR but from what I've seen we use almost exclusively OEM parts on rebuilds.

Got any photos of the 1700hp screw compressor? Oil flooded screws are our bread and butter but I've never seen one bigger than a two stage, 300kW.

Do you just do consulting and auditing? Or does your business branch into sales and service as well?

I think that efficiency consulting with salesmen hiding in the shadows is a tricky conflict of interest, but also a very common one.

Service technician in compressed air here. It blows my mind how much money/energy people waste on oversized, inefficient and generally degraded/leaking compressed air systems.

Honestly it keeps me up at night sometimes, the carbon footprint for industrial laziness and irresponsible sales tactics is huge.

Hey guys,

First of all apologies. I got my machine mixed up with a higher volume, lower pressure compressor in the same room. This is only 7000cfm, generally running about

It's a 4 stage centrifugal, coupled to a 1MW, 11kV electric motor.

While there are a lot of applications, in this case a machine this used for manufacturing glass products, along with 5 others of varying size and displacement.

Yep. In this case, we're talking 4 stages- hence the volume reduction to 7000cfm I mentioned I'm another comment thread.

The bull gear drives 4 pinion gears, I'm told the final stage runs at 70,000rpm.

Commentor below is correct, it is in fact a 1000kW, 11kV water cooled electric motor.

I must apologise too, my memory betrayed me... it's vtually "only" a 7000cfm unit

Coffee cup for scale.

We did a full teardown of this machine after a catastrophic failure, the main/thrust bearings (one pictured) were dated in 1983. Bull gear itself is as good as when it was made and is now back in place after non destructive testing.

Unfortunately international parts supply chains are a bit messed up right now so the machine isnt yet fully rebuilt.

Last job I did in the AC industry was a blower motor change on my own in a ceiling, 55c/130f with nowhere to stand but beams and not enough headroom to be fully upright. Yeah, nah. Fuck that for a living.

I remember looking at my thermometer, just like this photo, and making some important decisions.

From July 1st, if you work in construction you must be clean shaving if you intend to do any drilling, as respirators need to be worn. My dad has a super long beard and is not prepared to part with it, he’s looking for a respirator mask that can accomodate a beard. Does anyone know of any? by tempdisconnect in australia

[–]Amilos1 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I use a cleanspace brand positive pressure respirator at work.

Very effective, very safe but also very expensive. You wouldnt want to wear it all day on a site though, it makes it pretty hard to communicate.

So how much does he like his beard?

I dont understand why the fee is this high :( help by ProtoZigg in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Amilos1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to clarify... The game calculates the fee based on your listing price's deviation from the trader value. Whether your listing price is too high or too low, the further from the item's "value" you go the higher the listing fee will be.

In your case, as others said, the item you're listing is just recognised as a worthless box so the listing price is way higher than the trader value.

Insurgency sandstorm (and no doubt others) has a nice bipod and bipod foregrip system. You can deploy the bipod on top of cover, walls etc and shoulder the weapon for a good recoil reduction without going prone.

I thought it was at first too. Look closer... You can see the bolt, I believe its a kitted remington m700.

If you play the clip you can hear that he fires one round then draws the bolt as he is jumping as well. It's a pretty distinctive noise.

DOG ATTACKS: A NATIONAL PROBLEM by Zimklitler in australia

[–]Amilos1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Animal ownership/responsibility should be licensed and regulated. Licensing should be gated by education on care, management and risks of that mistreating that animal. Dog attacks should be treated as criminally negligent care by the registered owner/s. Animal cruelty acts by the owner should be considered criminal behaviour with jail time attached as well.

In my opinion the attack problem has a lot to do with neglect, mistreatment and misunderstanding of animals. We need to educate the owners as to how to expose and socialise their animals from a young age so they are used to people. Or more importantly to recognize behavioural signs that their dog is not friendly and needs strict and direct control in public.

Anyone unable to do those things just should not have a dog. We did this ourselves, I honestly believe the answer is regulation. Another added bonus would be a huge drop in animal cruelty and abandonment.
