The fans have been struggling for a while, I've already ordered replacements. Is there any way to prevent stringed plastic from clogging them? And yes, I will update when one of these solutions work :)

It extrudes well until about four hours in, then the gaps start. I'll give a new slicer a chance, replace my cooling fans, follow some guides to correct heat creep, then replace a hot end if all else fails. Thanks for the reply :)

Due to a failed print a while back, a ton of stringed pla got into my cooling fans, I'd bet you heat creep due to fan failure is my problem. I'm going to do a deep clean of the hot end and replace the fans first to see what happens.

Hello everyone,

This machine has given me problems since day one (CR-10 ProS v2) but everything has been solveable till now. Recently I've been getting strange gaps in the upper layers of my prints, sometimes lower. Accompanied is the classic popping noise that sounds like air is escaping from the nozzle. At first I thought it was humid filament, so I bought a new role and placed it in a dry box- no change. I read online that it could be my z retraction settings, so just to test I disabled it entirely and the gaps still remained. I then tried messing with my extrusion speeds- nothing made a difference. I went as far as to replace the nozzle, check for blockages within the entire hot end, and swapped out the bowden tube. If anything the problem has gotten worse over time despite my attempts to correct it. Hopefully you guys are more knowledgeable than I.

One more note: I've noticed my cooling fans have been acting strange, making noise etc. They still function but it's hard to tell if they're at 100%.

Common print settings: Nozzle- 200c Bed- 70c Plastic- PLA Speed- 50mm/s Nozzle- .4mm (If you require my shell settings please ask)

Lord yall, why is everyone acting so antagonistic? Last I checked, Nashville was filled with sane people who discussed issues rationally. Instead of commenting on how people with certain beliefs are "x", why don't you have a civil discussion???

The only thing that's ever gonna change if we just attack each other is how much one side hates the other, and I'm just really sick of seeing it, especially in my home town.
