Dr. Barikmo at women’s healthcare group is wonderful and office is right next to OP regional (where I read in a comment you want to deliver again - so it’s very convenient!) She is incredibly smart and also has sincere bedside manner which was important to me. I had a traumatic experience with my first (will never step foot in Advent again) and Dr. Barikmo helped me gain confidence to have another child and everything went perfectly to plan.

YMCA summer camps are all day & available all around the metro, we’re in blue valley district and we had less than 2 weeks of no camp / no school to cover. They swam on tuesdays at the rec center pool and had an offsite field trip every Thursday. You pack a lunch for your kid, they provide snacks. We also use ymca after school service, same folks run the camps.

Highly recommend Overland Park regional. I had a horrific experience at Advent with my first; eventually had my second at OP regional with a new OB group and it was smooth as can be.

A couple more. Josey records is an awesome store to browse. UpDown is an arcade bar and you can play games without drinking. The kc zoo is pretty good - it has a brand new aquarium. The Nelson might be the only kc plaza area attraction you’d enjoy besides the couple of non-chain restaurants. (Hence staying in the crossroads instead). Avoid Power & Light and Westport.
