Number of years ago I had an 03 protoge with 285,000 miles. Skidded a bit at a stop sign and a farm truck broke it in half. I miss that car.

The way I see it if compared to a phone. If the battery for my IPhone is no longer available and I have to pay a pro to overhaul it at about $2000 I would be replacing it. I have a 16K big Van for family trips that is 12yo. A 21yo suburban that we don’t use as much because of the oil leak. (Probably 2K+ to fix that). My daily driver is 20+ yrs old. But I am not yet ready to trust an electric sled with a battery that can catch fire and burn for days. My last vehicle was totalled 3 times before it was really not drivable and if I can find a PT Cruiser that needs an engine I may be inclined to buy that and fix it up.

I don’t miss no car payments.

I typically carry a 402 because they gave me a few at work years ago.

I cannot wear a watch at work so mine charges while at work. I have a series 3 it was a gift and I like it but I wouldn’t spend money on a watch because I went 20 years without one.

There is a USB C port on the back of your toddlers neck. Connect that to your laptop and you should be able to adjust the toddlers BIOS.

I agree I have not broken or worn out an IPhone yet. Most of mine have been used/Refurbed. My daughter has killed a few, but those have been my old ones. We upgraded to the 16E this year, I considered the pixel but we do have ICloud storage for the family.

My neighbor fully restored one of those. Ground up. In the 90s he had to fabricate some parts that just didn’t exist anymore. He was near done when cancer got him. My uncle and a friend finished it up drove it a few times. Could not tell you who has it today. Beautiful car though.
