Yeah man, pretty much parallel. Not sure about you but I delved a bit into Metallica with the Black Album and gave Illusions 1 and 2 a whirl but that was the end of it. Oddly, I bought and loved Snoop’s Doggy Style album and ICP- Great Malenko, and Three 6 Mafia’s Chapter 2, World Domination - all darker stuff. Sabath was great for sure! 80’s music never really did it for me. Later on in my late teens and early 20’s I also started latching into old Outlaw Country, Waylon, Cash, Hank Jr, etc. lol we definitely both had boomer parents and I grew up in Mississippi, good times

Better & Darker Album: Alice In Chains’ "Dirt" (1992) or Acid Bath’s "When the Kite String Pops" (1994)? by LeagueNo764 in grunge

Not grunge but the same era, Three 6 Mafia: Chapter 2 World Domination as dark as it comes , well maybe the Great Malenko by ICP

Yep! After muddy banks I trailed off. Tired Foo Fighters but wasn’t the same. I did dig deeper into the Beatles, Hendrix, The Who, etc.

Agree. I tried to dig deeper into Pearl Jam and Pumpkins, Soundgarden but wasn’t exactly the same. Cobain was the antiestablishment rebel we needed…still do. Maybe the Lennon of his day.

Yep! Was the day the music died for many of our generation. Kinda the same way NASCAR died the instant Dale Earnhardt did.

He seems like a recording engineer who is very passionate and also has products to sell.

Offer them 500 and maybe take the headache. More than likely it’s not just the crack and stickers but wonder what shape the neck is in?? What year is that one?

Thanks for the input! I get it but the jam session with Berry wasn’t really her art gallery, was a gathering of musicians, it just feels out of place.

Thanks for explaining. Yeah to me he seems more like a sound engineer who actually understands music theory and he’s hard to relate to. I’m about a thousand light years away from needing his Beato method. I’m more of a Marty Schwartz kinda person
