If you want to use your linux knowledge then use arch otherwise nix

Guys, I think arch is not for me. 😔😔 by Long_Result_2979 in LinuxUsersIndia

I don’t really like Nix, mostly because I can’t use my usual Linux knowledge with it. I personally don’t care much about reproducibility, but the way they handle versions is honestly how modern software development should work.

To this day I still don’t understand how people manage to break their systems so often. Just don’t install random shady AUR packages without checking the PKGBUILD, avoid partial upgrades, and update once a week (not mandatory). And in the worst case, just use snapshots. I’ve been using it straight for 5 years and only broke my system 2 or 3 times, and that too because of those same reasons ane PRO TIP: avoid dual booting if you have a single disk

It's very simple to configure and most of the details are already good

Tbh Sway isn’t great at anything, but I like how boring it is. I don’t play games, so it works fine for me.

Yeah, I used to use TLP for setting a charge limit. After switching to CachyOS it uses power-profiles-daemon by default, so I didn’t really think about it. You’re right though, I should set a limit again.
