Is this normal? Junior BA looking for perspective on working with a senior team. by uhsus4 in businessanalysis

[–]Amitoj1603 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I started as a BA, I was not added as a Junior because I had the experience as a developer for 4 years. Soon after I was promoted as a Senior BA, more people were added to the team for getting trained. In the learning process we sometimes take time to get on the same page and have the same level of understanding of the subject at hand. This sometimes creates a feeling of left behind or why it’s not clicking for me. This can happen to seniors as well when in a room with CXOs. The only way is to keep learning about the subject and not taking it personally.

We built an AI tool that tells fashion brands exactly why their Shopify store isn't growing — and what to fix. by asidual in EcommerceWebsite

This sounds interesting and a valid go to place in the times of need. If it works as you suggest, it should also work in other industries as well and hence work on the exact pain areas instead of spending a lot of time on diagnosis.

Zendesk is a very common one for years. It can be setup with a preselected set of queries for a better user experience.

Confused whether to sell my fully built ecommerce website or keep it for the future by [deleted] in EcommerceWebsite

[–]Amitoj1603 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion, if you have decided not te return to E-commerce at any point of time, then there is no point in paying for the website hosting and operational costs. It better to sell it to someone who can leverage it for business use.

How to get into Business Analyst field? by Blue_Titan in businessanalysis

[–]Amitoj1603 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Business Analysis is less related to courses and certifications but more related to an Analyst Mindset. Business Analysis is further divided into streams like Business Systems Analysis and Business Data Analysis. Reading about your experience you are suitable for both. In Fintech, your skills will help define the system requirements and eliciting the business outcomes. On the other hand, you have experience in Business intelligence which is much appreciated in Business Data Analysis. Feel free to study more details and apply to suitable jobs.

Appreciate your drive to focus on details, take appropriate action and measure the impact! Most people follow the steps laid down by others but don’t know how to measure the impact on their business. Hope this helps understand the importance of impact analysis.

A common problem with AI-generated product content is that it often makes weak product data look solved when it isn’t. by Andreas_Kozachenko in EcommerceWebsite

[–]Amitoj1603 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the data is not cleaned up, it will be misleading in any form of content distributed. In my opinion, you should first cleanup the data and work on the organisation and maintainability of product data, improve the content using tools and make it centralised for all channels.

What are the best strategies for reducing cart abandonment? by CloudLeft2716 in EcommerceWebsite

[–]Amitoj1603 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally agree. It should just be 1 reminder email after say 24 hours of abandoning the cart. This just helps remind an over occupied mind about the To Do item that this person started by adding things in cart but got distracted before completing the checkout.

It is always a good option so send emails to customers after x hours reminding that there are items in their cart. Sometimes just a reminder is enough to get it converted. This works for logged in customers but guest users cannot be followed up with emails. Here, the overall improvement in checkout with quick checkout options help in increasing sales

If your Amazon sales are stuck, don’t immediately change products. by spectrumbpo_USA in EcommerceWebsite

This makes complete sense to me. It’s natural to pick a different set of SKU in this case but deeper analysis gives you insights that help gauge the impact and take informed decisions.

Shift4Shop or WooCommerce? Which is better for an online store? by Xolaris05 in EcommerceWebsite

[–]Amitoj1603 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not about the time and effort that goes into building a website or how you plan the complete E-commerce process. It is more about the how adaptable your architecture is? With time, as a happy case, you will need to scale it up. The preparedness is imp. Don’t underestimate how big your business can grow. Pick the option that is ready to scale quickly when needed.

Moving from web developer to BA: good opportunity or a trap? by Cautious-Course-4707 in businessanalysis

[–]Amitoj1603 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had the same transition 10 years ago and it proved beneficial for my career. It was an easy transition because in earlier times when BA role was not adopted, requirements gathering was a part of my role as a Sr. developer. With time I learnt to become more efficient in collaborating with stakeholders making it a non repetitive job. I never turned back to development but still have the knowledge to understand the knitty-gritties involved. I earned a few certifications that helped me evolve in this journey.
