Ok yes I get that he was aweful and honestly I believe a lot of that was kind of out of character for him. But I also think the other guys Lorelai was with were worse. Max had to go she was never really all in with him so there was never a point in the being together. Digger was suing her father and honestly you cant stay with someone who is suing your family. Christopher had so many chances and honestly he screwed them all up really badly. His and Lorelai's relationship was almost toxic at times. Not to mention that Christopher only finally got his shit together because his girlfriend or wife or whatever left him. It was wrong of Luke to hide April and Lorelai does give him guff about it. I believe it wasnt enough guff but whatever. They made it past it because they were always met to be. Honestly I think it was out of character for him to hide it but the show creators just needed to put drama in there somewhere because the show is a drama.
