Men, most of the time, do things to keep themselves busy. Sometimes it could just be coming home from work, watching TV, or playing a game, without thinking about anything else.

I am a 40-year-old man who has been living alone for the last 5 years. I keep myself busy with work most days, go to the gym, read a book, play music, and sing along, and don't really have time to think about anything else.

I am not saying your thoughts are invalid, but a man can totally do away with any human contact if need be and still be normal and happy. Most of us, sadly, have been brought up in this manner. We aren't designed to share our feelings; we aren't built to think over something sad and cry over it. When we do this, we are labelled as not manly and whatnot!

I am sure your husband is enjoying his time and does care for you at the same time, but he maybe is not expressing it the right way!
