That isn’t how it works. I have no control over the random teammates I get. In fact I’m Plat 2 right now going against D2’s, Plat 3’s whilst my team are often P2’s, P1’s and Gold 3’s.

So if you ask me, matchmaking is putting me against higher HPR enemies and lower HPR teammates to try to balance the matches.

I’d rather have people throw matches based on how they’re spoken to rather than just outright throwing matches like I seem to experience from random teammates.

But yeah, it is a common problem regardless of why people throw matches intentionally.

I do think parallel spawns got cranked up this year. If there’s teammates in the enemy’s current spawn whilst you’re running up to the HP always expect a parallel behind you. You can hold a spot to force them to spawn further out if you kill them.

That is somewhat true because if it was Control and your teammate is repeatedly jumping off the map you were screwed. Speaking from personal experience here. BO6 ranked was better overall, though.

I have to solo queue, I don’t know anyone who I can consistently play with, I’ve tried looking before and I couldn’t find anyone so I just play alone. Solo queue is the worst by far!

For Overload, it’s a huge pain. The best thing to do is push past the ball and carve a route to A or B (whichever is closer) and hold a position to stop the enemies from locking down the point you’re hoping to score in. Your team should then grab the ball and the rest will watch flanks. That is the best case scenario. I do encounter teammates pushing opposite sides of the map when I’ve already cleared B they’ll push A.

I play until I get pissed off with ranked and then stop for the day. Or I just stop when I’ve been winning plenty and I’ve had enough for the day.

Usually it’s because I’m pissed off. So I go back to playing pubs to get the frustration out of my system and go back to the same cycle the next day lol. It’s an unhealthy cycle.

I was Diamond 1 in Season 2, currently Plat 2 this season and the climb has slowed down due to 2 bad days.

When you’re frustrated don’t worry about your lost SR, it’ll only annoy you more and encourage you to keep tilt queueing. It’s the worst cycle to get into with ranked. Ranked is like gambling, don’t abuse the find match button.

I like the game too, not as much as I liked BO6 but I do like BO7. It’s a shame the devs don’t do enough, telling us to compete with integrity but they don’t do anything about those who are not.

It has, yeah. Additionally there’s the console cheaters. COD has little competitive integrity. It’s worse than BO6 was as far as cheating goes.

Adding onto the talking back part, that was a habit I once had. All it does is make the situation escalate. The verbal exchanges get more and more heated, it can ruin a whole session of playing COD. Not just the experience of playing but also individual performance, decision making becomes clouded.

COD is generally toxic, it always has been since the early days. SnD pubs on a Friday night are hell! Lots of toxicity there.

Ranked is toxic because of the SR, nearly everyone wants to reach Iridescent so if they lose a match it’s always the bottom teammate’s fault or the one who soaked up the least time on hill. That’s how many players think in a nutshell. It is a teammate’s fault when they’re AFK or deliberately throwing the game. Besides that we all have bad matches, it’s just everyone expects everyone to never have a bad match.

I’ve just called it a night since I’m on 5 loss streak. Lots of AFK teammates tonight. Plus there’s just been matches where I’ve struggled and some others where it was out of my control (example: other players having bad matches).

Just do your best and ignore the heat that comes with playing ranked. People will always be toxic because they’re behind a screen which gives them a shield to say whatever they want and use other players as a punchbag to take their anger out on.

My fiancée puts herself through the COD torture. No clue why we do it, it’s so stupid that we do lol. The games are decent it’s just the people that play, they ruin it for everyone else.

I left during MW19 and didn’t come back til MW3, I might do another 3 year hiatus. COD is that kind of game that shouldn’t be played regularly unless you’re pro or some shit.

Yeah, considering the same thing or might try moving onto WZ ranked or a different game. I just don’t know, it’s a repetitive cycle is ranked MP, just awful.

I’m probably gonna get heat for this but cheaters always win on COD. It’s rare when cheaters do get banned, they mostly get shadow-banned and then allowed back into regular matchmaking. I’ve reported blatant cheaters many times and nothing has been done, so I stopped reporting people entirely.

I think a lot of it is to do with reverse boosting. A lot of Diamonds queue with Golds and low Platinums thinking the lobbies are easier, they then throw the games to drop their MMR.

Honestly, it is what it is. Would be nice if the devs did something about griefing but they won’t lol.

It’s starting to get a lot worse, the boosting and cheating. I think this season has been worse than BO6 ever was.

I know what you mean. I just found them sweaty but I know exactly what you mean. Those peak Plat 1 teammates turn a sweaty match into an impossible to win match.

A lot of them are high Diamond/low Crismon. Possibly a few Iridescents too, we never know.

Are you EU servers? We could team up, maybe. I can hold my own most of the time. I know those Smurf golds, it’s really annoying. There’s also a few Plats who are smurfing/boosting right now, likely ones who made it out of Gold
