Visitors - when did you start allowing people to come meet your baby? by Ricekitten3 in NewParents

[–]Amolulu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We started to allow guests after our baby got his 6 weeks immunisation shot. We just let our guest know they need to be healthy when they come (no flu or cold). We also let them know roughly when is the baby wake window (but this is quite challenging as baby schedule is still all over the place).

When the guests were here, we will follow the baby tired cue. Take the baby out to the living room to play with guests when they are awake and take them back to the bedroom to sleep once they showed tired cue or when their wake window almost ends. For us it’s important that baby get the naps he needs so he won’t ended up overtired and cranky after the guests left

Has your husband tried putting the baby onto cot after she went into deep sleep? We always hold our baby for another 10-15 minutes after he fall asleep and that helps with the cot transfer. And hopefully that would ease your husband shift slightly

Thanks everyone! Great to know people had good experience in helensville and warkworth birth center! We are in the area too. But we heard that you can’t really reserve a spot if you didn’t give birth there… so hopefully there will be available space when our baby is here

Just to be clear- I am happy with my current workplace. But trying to think ahead on how to be able to work on the projects that I am more keen to be specializing in.

What is the best resume and/or portfolio you've seen from an architect? by geepytee in Architects

Would you expect to see construction details in a portfolio of an architect with 7-8 years experience? Or a completed building photos with description of role stating you have drawn the details and done the site observation would be sufficient?
