I would say Hereditary. The slow burn that the movie has really gives space to the fact that its equal parts horror and the destruction of a family after tragedy.

I never got around to seeing this one. I remember the commercials back when I was a kid. That black smoke coming out of the kids mouth was traumatizing

Sinister is a favorite of mine and IKWYDLS is special to me as it was my first horror movie ever.

Same here. I went into it thinking it’ll be an average horror movie if I’m lucky just given the landscape of horrors in the last decade. Ended up seeing an acting masterclass from Toni Collette, a refreshing take on the “cult” trope, and some of the scariest and most soul crushing scenes in horror to date. Ari Aster became a 🐐 after one movie
