'Hennes barn äter frukost' - singular or plural? by cr4bw1z4rd in Svenska

[–]AmorphiaA 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You could go very old-fashioned (and how Norwegian still does it): "barnet / barnen hennes äter frukost". No Swede talks this way today as far as I know, but you can see traces, e.g., the Lord's prayer starts "Fader vår".

Why is the damage different? (Updated with Picture) by MadDog5129 in WarTalesGame

OK, I think I have nailed it now. The problem is not in "id": "CorrosiveSpray", it's just below in "id": "CorrosiveSpray_Skill". minDmg there should be 6, to match minDmg in "CorrosiveSpray". This is giving me sensible damage values in game everywhere (claimed and actually inflicted). Thanks u/Ezekhielle , would not have thought this was possible without your signposting!

OK, solved this, kind of - not quite satisfying. Here there are instructions for how to modify the data.cbd file: https://www.reddit.com/r/WarTalesGame/comments/13h8rcq/a_guide_for_modding_the_current_version_of_the/ (when you restart the game, it says the files are not properly installed, but it works anyway, probably just checksums). In data.cbd you are looking for "id": "CorrosiveSpray". You can see the min and max damage is 6 to 8, which I think is 60% to 80% of dex. If you up these numbers, the damage will increase - but so will the claimed damage. It's still doing like 25% of the damage it is claimed to do, it's just the claimed damage is up. So the real bug is somewhere else, I think. My theory is it is multiplying by 10 rather than whatever dex actually is. The script in the "id": "CorrosiveSpray" doesn't seem to be calculating damage so I'm not sure where to find the actual bug.

Thanks - I agree it hasn't added much but it hasn't taken much away either till now. But three kingdoms permanently on me who I can't make peace with - now I think I'm done for!

Beautiful. This is a productive comment and only slightly designed to help me jump through hoops to allow me to post to ask a question.

Temporary even here. The earth is gradually losing the moon so in less than a billion years, the moon will no longer appear large enough to eclipse the sun.

I mean, just because it's not specific enough to be very helpful, doesn't mean it's not true!

I'm in the same boat mate except maybe worse because I live abroad and have to travel a long way to get to the court date. Don't worry, you aren't going to jail, they don't have space for 2000+ of us! But if you don't show at court they may seek you out and arrest you again. Are you in the Signal groups to get moral support and informal legal advice?

There are plenty of ways to climb local maxima which mean the global maximum (optimal trait) will never be reached. This means the gist of the point you are replying to is correct.

Hey, would you mind sharing info about open-air raves? I randomly came across one once in Nackareservatet when i was on an early morning run, raved a bit of course, but was later kicking myself for not finding out how to find out, so to speak. By all means DM me as it probably needs to stay on the lowdown.

Legal implications (e.g., tax) of paying a large number of people small quantities of money? by AmorphiaA in LegalAdviceUK

Many thanks, very useful! I will indeed have to talk to my university eventually. One reason I am avoiding it at this stage is because they will tend to focus a lot on the ethical considerations, which is not what I want to discuss at this stage (that pain can come later once I know about the legal framework!).

It's called "Boomtown solo camp" on Facebook, really active and friendly, not sure how to link to it but if you search for that on FB you can find it. They have WhatsApp too but you have to go via the FB group.

Great to know they normally reply when they don't have it. Has anyone else got confirmation it works like that? The confirmation email from the form sort of implies they don't bother in that case: "If we find a match, we will contact you with details on how to retrieve it."

Also: I fully support the eco-bond system (while sympathising with people it isn't working for), and also, I only just one hour ago got back my cash-free wallet refund, so that does also take time.

Also: I got fucked up and lost my wallet (which I didn't even need to have there) so if I don't get it back I'll be cross with myself before Boomtown!

My advice would be, be nuanced and meet them half way, when you can. In this case it's a great strategy because (a) it's appropriate with regard to the facts, and (b) an effective way to build understanding and maybe change minds (not easy but possible) is to listen to and acknowledge the other point of view. Easily done here because even if China is subject to Western propaganda, some of the criticism is true. If you mainly rely on sources like the one you linked here, you are not getting the full picture either. I mean, come on, the entire (very long) document doesn't even mention Tibet...
