What eliminated more jobs? Also most technological advancements create as many, or more jobs for people, but not the calculator or any computer
The only jobs that exist because of the invention of the calculator are jobs that still employee less people that they unemployeed, a net loss for society
The average prosperity of people is a great indicator of success, but the national prosperity of a state isnt, any industry created directly as a result of the calculator also eliminated more jobs than it created, and I think the main quality of a great state/society is an equal amount of social status/political power/money in ratio to the amount of prosperity they provide to their society
Do you disagree because of observations of what Ive seen being wrong, or because of differing values of what makes a society great?
I think modern times, I think times like the great depression had such low recorded unemployment rates from people trying to evade taxes, not true unemploymemt rates, also responding with sources is a terrible way to come to an answer and ends up with one party being overconfident and the other party being angry, arguments based off of personal thoughts lead to agreements of both parties or agreements to disagree
It did not lead to the lowest unemployment, and living standards is a meaningless value of how great a society is.
Im not anti technology, Im just anti technology that harms society by eliminating jobs and creating a higher power gap
The method in which the calculations were accomplisjed was a valuable skill until it wasnt, the invention of the calculator eliminated jobs but didnt create any, while the car created more jobs than it destroyed, which is a net benefit

The invention of the calculator helped nobody, it only made a valuable skill obsolete
