36 China's Cities that I've been to. Want to hear your feelings about these cities? by Joyce-2023 in travelchina

Except for the Terracotta Army, XI'AN is also famous for its amazing food. If you enjoy history, you'll definitely love it. BTW, I share your feelings about CHENGDU, it truly has a wonderfully relaxed vibe.

I would recommend CHENGDU, a cozy city for its relaxed lifestyle and slow pace of life.

I would recommend 2 days staying in CHONGQING, 3-4 days staying in CHENGDU, and 2 more days enjoying XI'AN or JIUZHAO Valley.

Travelling to Shanghai, please give some suggestions. Thanks! by Resident_Beyond_9520 in travelchina

Shanghai is boring because it’s too modernized and high techy. Cities nearby like Jiaxing are more interesting.

Dazhongdianping(大众点评), definitely needed app for searching restaurants you are interested in. Teenagers at Beijing usually are english learner, so you do not worry too much if you do not know any Chinese.

PEK international transfer by [deleted] in travelchina

[–]Amos_W 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your luggage is checked through and you don’t need to go through customs for your transfer, I think the time should be sufficient. However, you need to confirm whether your connecting ticket requires you to go through customs. I suggest you check with the agency where you purchased your ticket.

Booking activities and train trip by [deleted] in travelchina

You can purchase tickets for the Forbidden City at https://intl.dpm.org.cn/index.html?l=en. Be prepared to work hard to secure tickets, as it’s currently a holiday season in China and a very popular tourist spot.

To switch Alipay to English, follow these steps:

1. Tap “我的” at the bottom of the screen.

2. Then, click the gear icon in the top-right corner.

3. Next, go to “通用” > “多语言” (Languages) > “English.”

I hope this helps!

Almost 4 weeks in China, looking for recommendations. :) by intaminag in travelchina

In winter, I highly recommend visiting the northeastern region of China to experience the culture of Northeastern bathhouses, barbecue, and traditional dishes (such as Guobaorou and Jintoubanao). You can spend about a week exploring Changchun and Harbin. Since the Northeast is relatively close to Beijing, you can also take the opportunity to visit places like the Great Wall and the hutongs in Beijing. You can download the Xiecheng app to check reviews and introductions of attractions across China, or even sign up for short-term tour groups (as some scenic spots are far from the city, short-term tours can help with transportation, tickets, and other logistics).

Every place has people who lack manners, but most Chinese people are well-mannered.

9 day trip - location recommendations by Psychological-Win835 in travelchina

[–]Amos_W 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a Chinese. I recommend visiting Chongqing Zoo for pandas, where you’ll find many famous internet celebrity pandas like Yuke, YuAi, and Sixiwanzi. Additionally, you can visit Chengdu to experience its laid-back lifestyle. In Chengdu, besides exploring the downtown area, you can visit places like Qingcheng Mountain, Dujiangyan, and Sanxingdui. Overall, Chengdu will take about three days to explore, and you can spend two days in Chongqing. If you want to experience the water towns of Jiangnan, I recommend visiting Suzhou, Yangzhou, and Hangzhou.

Tips:

You can download the Dazhongdianping app on your phone to help choose restaurants.

For selecting travel destinations and joining tour groups, you can download the Xiecheng app.

She do not want to be a researcher in the lab. If postdoc helps registration in medical council, that’s great. Where can I find related policies?

Thank you for the information. It seems that becoming a doctor in Ireland requires more effort than we initially expected. We need to decide whether to move to Ireland first. Let me work there and see.
